Developer TheFlow updated his VitaShell to version 0.7 adding henkaku support and new features like background FTP and more. Also no longer needed stuff like signing PBOOT.PBP file was removed. HENkaku's molecularShell is also based on VitaShell so for now VitaShell v 0.7 is most up to date "shell" for PS Vita and PSTV.

VitaShell is an alternative replacement of the PS Vita's LiveArea. It offers you a file manager, package installer, built-in FTP and much more. Is absolute must have for every homebrew enabled PS Vita/PSTV.

Note for new hacked vita/pstv users, this app have access to all system partitions.

      Safe to use partitions are:

      ux0 (memory card)
app0 (current app mount point - vita shell folder in this case)
      gro0 (came cart)

Messing with every other partition can permanently brick your console.

interestingly, about the partitions of the vita, some partitions have a separate, mirrored partition for decrypted files. basically, once a file is decrypted, it's moved to a separate partition. I think this is to allow more flexibility with the ram. that's my thoughts on that.

There are dual banks for a lot of partitions. Like firmware files during an update. In case of failure or power loss during update. One bank stays untouched till the update is complete. But while unpacking the FW it holds the files in one folder till done unpacking and installing. Then once complete the Vita switches banks and the old files are removed.

@kozarovv. Is it already compiled? Is there a readme with it, what dir do i put this into., nevermind i guess i should look before i ask. Thanks kozzy. Still curious about what dir it goes in, any special folders?, edit #2. And read you post more closely. IT SAYS RIGHT IN IT WHERE IT GOES! IM LOSING MAN. Working 6, 12-14 hour days will do that to you. My old lady has been out of work for five months now. Struggling to survive right now. Got a few free moments today before the madness. Wanted to see if I could give this and henkaku a go. Vita scene is crazy right now. Thanks @kozarovv

If you are on henkaku (you should be) then dowload vpk file. ftp it to any location on ux0 partition, then just click on it in molecularshell to install.
