Waiting CaptainCPS returns...New FBNeo RL

    As tribute of work's CaptainCPS, i have updated/upgrated FBAlpha RL to FBNeo RL
    New libretro core: Final Burn Neo v.0.2.97.44;
    Up to 6166 games recognized;
    Added "display clone games" option;
    Updated snaps;
    Added original manuals by CpatainCPS (PS button) (maybe if someone has original sources was better, i havent found them);
    Arcade games pack synced with FinalBurn Neo v0.2.97.44 (ClrMame Pro XML).dat;

    I'm working to put all changes into a github fork.

    fantastic. does it also emulate the home systems or just arcade?

    The core is https://github.com/libretro/FBNeo , few days old and just slightly retouched and compiled for PS3, so its properties are the same. For now, it doesnt seem to work with home system, just arcades. In truth, I haven't even managed to start home system games with the PC version of FB Neo.

    So this is the new FB Neo core (confirmed; it plays Outrun Enhanced Edition, not possible in original FBA RL), but the menu is from 0.9.9.8 version (man, RetroArch has come a LONG way since then). This is causing input remapping problems, with racing games I am unable to steer, and remapping controls doesn't work. Fast forward/rewind/save state slot +/- is mapped to R-Stick and can't be changed. One good side effect of this ancient menu system is that games load MUCH faster, like 2 or 3 times faster. Also, much less chance to crash the PS3 with so fewer options, @STLcardsWS will appreciate this, LOL. :) But control issues outweigh these fringe benefits.

    I'm guessing, @Crystal, that once you fork this core you will be able to implement the modern menu system?

    On my way, just after the adding of "multicore" that it is in progress. First core added will be a non libretro core: Mame 0.125 by Ole for PS3.
    I found working sources and Mame 0.125 is a light and fast (written in C) mame core. With it Midway games will work and some games will work very well on PS3. For example Galaxy Force 2. You can use Mame 0.125 core by Ole without Comango frontend, just using FB Neo RL.
    Next step will be the upgrading of RetroArch between FB Neo RL and cores with the options of choose XMB or RGUI menu view.

    Awesome, can't wait to see your edits to this project.

    EDIT - Midway games don't run quite fullspeed in MAME125, would it be possible to add the DCS speed hack like in RetroArch MAME 2003, @Crystal?

    I know i had these at one time.
    Have not found anything yet either but sometimes someone has it. Hopefully that becomes the case.
