Tonight, I'll check if a manual value (so permanent) causes the BSOD found.

I can tell you that during the BSOD, the PS3 can be stopped if a simple press on the button I / O is executed (led flashing green at that moment and a single beep) then it stops alone after ten seconds (3 beeps are heard) or then after these three beeps while the led flashes you have to keep long seconds pressed button to turn off completely (red led). During this period before the extinction, the led of the hard disk flashes sometimes, proof that there are still some things in the PS3.

      Manual speed ventilation:
      mmCM works perfectly.
ManaGunZ causes a sudden stop of the PS3 and red Led off.
IrisMAN starts well, it works just as well.
Only PS3 games have been launched with manual ventilation.

Try changing the memory profile in /setup.ps3 to MAX or MAX PSX or set [MC] to "4 - bg" for 3MB of extended memory.

Aldostools does the auto update feature also update to/or the beta versions?

Usually it installs the latest beta ;)

I've also set this option, I haven't had a black screen in 3 days {touch wood}. And my ps3 seems to be running smoother.
How can I check the overall memory usage of my ps3? Not including the Hard disk.
Cause I'm wondering are these black screens memory related.
And just one last question, slightly unrelated to webman, if I install a dynamic theme, of around 10mb, will this affect how much working memory my ps3 has (its a digital blasphemy theme with HEN tools)
Cause I've noticed with it running without enabling the above webman memory options, I can get black screens.

One 2nd last question aldos, is it possible to add the hard drive temperature monitor to webman?
    13. aldostools
      aldostools
You can see the memory usage in http://127.0.0.1/cpursx.ps3

Dynamic themes use some VSH memory and sometimes cause memory issues in webMAN MOD.
Also I have found a few dynamic themes made by users that are buggy.
Although the dynamic themes look really cool, my suggestion is to avoid them and use static themes or none.

Yes, if you provide me the source code for that feature ;)

Would this make my PS3 run better? I don't really have any issues right now other than an occasional black screen when loading games and homebrew and I've noticed those only (or at least mostly) happen after I've pressed "Enable HEN" when it's already enabled and let it sit instead of closing the web browser as fast as possible. I have the Sonic CD theme on my PS3, which is mostly static other than it switching between two wallpapers randomly every time I go to the XMB.

it helped my ps3 run better, why don't you try the settings, it would be good to know the outcome.

In general, that option could make your PS3 run better because you get more memory allocated to the processes that require more memory. But that's not always true due multiple variables (number & type of games, devices attached, network, etc). However, the vsh memory container 4 could conflict with video recording. If the option cause you issues, you can change the container id or disable the [MC] option.

Your theme is static; it shouldn't cause memory issues in webman... Not all dynamic themes are buggy either... just a few ones. Some use more VSH memory than others too. If your theme don't cause you issues, you can continue using it... e.g. I often use the animated themes of LittleBigPlanet, Lost in Space or Make.Believe without issues.

Thanks for the code, but it gets the result with a query to the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).
AFAIK The PS3 doesn't have such API ;-)
