Recently an update was made to XMB Manager Plus (XMBM+) by developer Aldo Vargas ( of ps3tools.aldostools.com), This modified Package Manager comes with plenty of features for the XMB. Such as a File Manager, Game Manager, Package Manager, Homebrew Manager, Download Manager and lots of other features. New in this update the developer has updated and/or added new Web Links, Package Manager, Game Manager & webMAN.xml . Checkout some of the details of this highly recommended XMB Modification.

What is XMB Manager Plus (XMBM+) Mod?
This is my (aldostools) modified version of the XMB Manager+ originally released by Team XMBM+. This version of XMBM+ (mod) includes various related files. category_game.xml is not installed automatically. XMBM+ (mod) can be updated directly from XMB if you have an earlier version already installed.

[*=1]Allows homebrew or PSN packages

[*=1]View and manage your ps3 applications, by type, by folder, by category etc..

[*=1]File Manager

[*=1]Browse and Delete files from all locations such as hdd, usb etc.

[*=1]Browse, Copy, Rename and Play all your PS3's internal hdds media from one location. All options from the normal XMB categories are available in one new combined category

[*=1]Includes all the game data tools from main XMB plus some more additions. Things like Gamedata, Backups are contained here.

[*=1]Includes all the user data tools from main XMB plus some more additions. Things like Save Data, Trophies and user folders are contained here.

XMB Manager Plus mod 0.23.000-mod by aldostools for COBRA!

This is a fork of the official XMBM+ that I originally developed for personal use on 3.55 Kmeaw.
Now I adapted the category_games.xml to work with webMAN + XMB Manager Plus on COBRA 7.0

Easy install on Cobra 7: (may not contain latest version of XMBM+)

Install XMBMODMAN by brunolee - XMBMODMAN vRev1C. by brunolee - PS3 Brewology - PS3 PSP WII XBOX - Homebrew News, Saved Games, Downloads, and More!

Install COBRA CFW Tools by bitsbubba - COBRA CFW Tools v2.00 by bitsbubba - PS3 Brewology - PS3 PSP WII XBOX - Homebrew News, Saved Games, Downloads, and More!

Manual installation

1. Install a Cobra CFW. - (XMBM+ can be used also on non-Cobra CFW.)
2. Install multiMAN 04.66.08 (or later if available) - http://store.brewology.com/ahomebrew.php?brewid=24
3. Launch multiMAN, go to Settings column and enable the option "Write access to dev_flash" (it's the 2nd option from bottom)
4. Go to multiMAN's mmOS (File Manager) pressing [Select] + [Start] buttons
5. Copy webftp_server.sprx (version 1.41.x) to the root of /dev_hdd0/

Use PRX Loader by u$er to launch webMAN manually on non-Cobra CFW:

6. Copy the included boot_plugins.txt to the root of /dev_hdd0/
7. Copy the included category_game.xml to /dev_blind/vsh/resource/explore/xmb/ (do not edit this file unless you know what you're doing)
8. Reboot.
9. Install the included xmbmanplus_hdd.pkg
10. Enjoy XMBM+ on COBRA 7.0!

NOTE: For support of /PS3ISO, /PSXISO, /DVDISO and /BDISO content on external drives with NTFS file system, install and execute prepNTFS.pkg

You have to use prepNTFS if you add new content to your NTFS formatted USB HDDs.
Do not forget to use [Refresh XML] / [Refresh HTML] to refresh webMAN's data.

How to update XMB Manager Plus (mod)

1. Click the About option in XMB Manager Plus mod for the update option
2. If there is an update, you will be prompted to download the file (Save in the downloaded pkg in the root of the USB drive)
3. Install the downloaded pkg from Install Package Files
4. Refresh XMB launching any application (eg. BD Reset) and returning to XMB.

PS4 Homebrew Store (ALPHA) - Latest Update by LigthingMods
Developer @LigthingMods has released an update to the PlayStation 4 Homebrew Store App that is currently in the Alpha Stages of development. We have now seen several releases of this homebrew store and the functionality of delivering you a homebrew package (pkg's) works very well."Simply" select and download then boom the app installs the homebrew and is ready to use on your Homebrew Enabled PS4. So the foundation seems solid in terms of the functionality. However you must be warned the User -Interface could use a bit of work but we are sure the developer is aware of this and plans to make further improvements as we embark into the future. One of more annoying quirks you will find in the UI will be with navigation as homebrew is randomly listed and you must navigate pages of listing to find Homebrew. In this update there has been the inclusion of a search feature and in my honest opinion it can be a bit picky (if you do not know the exact name of the homebrew) also a pagejump does allow you to navigate any page on demand, but not the most ideal way of browsing the Homebrew contained in the store. A suggestion to help the browsing of pages would be to add some category listing's and even a newly released section . Now this update there has been plenty of changes/improvements for those changes lets take a look @ligthingmods take it from here with the release details for this huge update found below, also @MasterTurkey has a video showing a bit of the update also.

Update #3 for Orbital - An PS4 Emulator by @AlexAltea - now with DualShock 4 support!
Following up after his Milestone Update back in March, Developer @AlexAltea showcases his third Update from his PS4 Emulator Orbital, which now supports the inputs from an original DualShock 4 Controller together with a new and updated Presentation from the current Development Stages of his PS4 Emulator on his own YouTube-Channel (know with a higher Resolution and Quality ). Although the support isn't perfect (the keypress shows big delays on the PS4 while running in Safe Mode - but they are fixable), it is still nice to see how difficult it is to emulate a Console from the ground-up until running a playable Game, but also how much effort he takes to get this PS4 Emulator updated and running better and better. This is already worth some kudos, don't you think? And he has already plans for future updates, such as the possibility to allow a re-installation from the PS4 System Software via an USB Mass Storage Device. Running the Operating System from a emulated Console is always very important and a good basis to make some further work profitable. If this progress will keep so strong for the future, we think we can expect some great functions from that Emulator and for emulating a PS4 on a PC in General, what do you think?

webMAN MOD 1.47.21 - Improved support for PS3HEN with update by Aldostools

Rebug does not come with support for XMBM+ (even when I requested it several times to Joonie ). You have to install XMBM+ using XMBMODMAN or add the following code to /dev_flash/vsh/resource/explore/xmb/category_game.xml:

XMB MANAGER dissapearing

When I install this I can see it in XMB only when Cobra not turned on. If Cobra settings are turned off via Rebu the icon is listed again. Is there a work around for this?
NVM. I found if I actual read Aldos Post I wouldn't have had this issue. Instal XMB MOD, then update mod then install XMB Package manager from options. painful but works great when said and done.

[MENTION=89]aldostools[/MENTION] Thankyou for the update bit of a wip but i fixed up the radio links. added radiofeeds.co.uk (uk and irish fm feeds) and fixed all SomaFM feeds, added descriptions. Also fixed theradio.com link. btw radiofeeds does community radio too, i've got in2beats from bedford on bit of hardstep D&B

dont know if it works outside uk, but i think it should with a proxy.

Never saw why so many prefer such "standard" things Ina firmware especially in the feature rich Rebug firmwares. XMBM+ is by far my favorite XMB mod/app.

You have no idea how much craps I have been given since 4.65.1 release, anyways, there is no reason to update CFW, all the features are the same since 4.46, even with COBRA.

Newer CFW only make people feel "SAFER" while going online. No need to deal with bugs when the CFW offers the same features with extra bugs. <- Main reason why [MENTION=89]aldostools[/MENTION] never updates his CFW since Rogero COBRA 4.46.

Yea I'm sure, its hard to please anyone. I honestly don't use online and don't really care about it. Know you guys did an amazing job on this firmware. Honestly don't see Sony pushing to many more updates. The Ps3 is nearing the end of its life cycle. There is only one more game I eagerly await that I know in development. Sad times but know you all did it in style!!

Yes is "normal", the same problem happens in rebug package manager, and because the package manager inside XMBM+ is derivated from rebug one... they shares the same problem
The most weird thing is doesnt happens always... sometimes the .pkg's appears only one time (normal behaviour) but other times appears duplicated like in your example

This is a very old issue... The cause is because the folders are typically mounted as /dev_bdvd and /app_home. The XML for Package Manager includes both locations in the queries.

To minimize this duplicated package issue I made a quick update in XMB Manager Plus 0.23.003
http://aldostools.org/xmbextras.pkg

I basically split the queries for pkg on /dev_bdvd and /app_home in the different sub-categories of the Package Manager. So if a pkg is mounted in both /app_home and /dev_bdvd, it should be listed only once. But if the pkg is mounted only in one of these folders (/dev_bdvd xor /app_home), it will be listed is one of the sub-categories (Package Folder or Standard Package Location).

I also made a custom category_game.xml that includes support for webMAN, XMBM+ and Package Manager.

There is also an entry to have multiMAN always on top, even using folder groups on XMB. This feature is commented out, but it can be uncommented or customized to show IRISMAN00 instead of BLES80608 if the user prefers it.

If you have any issue with these files, please let me know.

EDIT: [MENTION=6]bitsbubba[/MENTION] [MENTION=89]aldostools[/MENTION] Quick question, Whats the best/easiest way to get this installed on latest Rebug and is there some download links to the latest version? the aldostools.org link isn't working for me (lots of other sites links are dead too ) and Ive tried a few things now like the normal pkg installers, COBRA CFW Tools v2.00 (fails to install around 60%) and XMBMODMAN vRev1C (doesn't show any options for XMBM+), I assume its cos they are old versions and the Rebug CFW is just out/not supported. Thanks.

Maybe I should just go back to a lower/different FW version if there is no real difference these days?

I tried this too but different installer version and FW so didn't work obviously.

Hey sorry yea most if not all my projects are out of date, hopefully tonight I'll be getting Cobra CFW Tools up to date to where you could use it to install the latest XMBM+ on the most current of CFWs (latest REBUG included) for now. I do have alot of ideas/plans to do other updates.
