I'm at least familiar with that :D Though with bad-cap LCDs I increase voltage instead while retaining capacitance or just slightly increase it. I find they last longer this way. I once changed a bad 37v 470uF cap with a 1200uF one --> the LCD won't display anything lol. A 50v 470uF solved it...
