Support for ExFAT only includes USB and FireWire devices through the BDM. Grim Doomer's fork ported that to the internal HDD and, as far as I know, it has NOT been merged into Ifcaro yet because Ulaunch needed to be updated to support ExFAT for internal HDDs.
That's not the point of using and SSD in the PS2. The whole point of using an SSD inside a PS2/PS3/or PS4 is to have less heat and less power consumption inside the console while getting the speed benefits of the SSD when it's hooked directly to the PC for data transfers. The PS2 is aging tech...
Just wiped the 1TB Seagate clean and turned it back to GPT. Copying 300GB over and will boot it up with the new build once its done.
I'll edit this post accordingly ...
EDIT: First boot up with build 1986 gave me a clean OPL config. I'd learn why momentarily.
The only options I changed were...
Yup, MBR is limited to about 2.2TBs. It's why I said in my video to use MBR for 2TB or less and GPT for everything higher, but in all technicality, I should've said any hard drive with a total capacity of 1.98TB in actual space should use MBR because some drives are not exactly 1TB (my Seagate...
Alas, this test build (i.e. build 1984) completely freezes on me, and at no time whatsoever does the game list appear. I recorded the behavior LIVE as it happened in a 1+ hour Tutorial & Test video on my YouTube Channel Togonzo Media, and the last 20 to 40 minutes of the video was me trying to...
I bit that bullet a long time ago. Mounted all my BIN/CUE files in a virtual device and ripped them as ISO because convertors don't always work, especially on certain mixed mode discs. It was a pain in the ass that took most of an afternoon but it got done.
EDIT: Giving this another whirl today...
There's overlap in these two threads ...
This thread is for testing Acid-Snake's EXFAT support on USB devices ...
Grim Doomer's thread is for testing EXFAT on Internal HDD ...
This all depends on if your motherboard is running in UEFI Mode or Legacy CSM.
If the former, Windows defaults to GPT. If the latter, Windows default to MBR.
Conversion between the two is very easy, but you have to be careful because you have to run DISKPART from an Elevated Command Prompt...
My 1TB Seagate is a 5400rpm laptop drive with SMR. It used to be in my PS4 but the firmware kept getting junked when I filled it past 75% so I put it in my Kingston SNA-DC and ran a battery of SMART tests. It passed every one except for one test that I attributed to Kingston SNA-DC since it's...
Hooboy, this was rough going for me. I didn't want to crack my case open and hook my 1tb Seagate direct so I dug out my Kingston SNA-DC/U enclosure and prepped it for GPT and ExFat at to test this out. Like a moron, I blew 2 hours installing all my games from a backup instead of just a few...
Just an FYI ... before you can run "make build opl.elf", you'll have to "cd" into the OPL directory.
$ cd Open-PS2-Loader
@uyjulian missed that part ... :P
And for some reason, the Docker container isn't compiling for me tonight ...
/ # apk add build-base git zip
fetch...
According to Billboard, the first white rapper to hit #1 was Vanilla Ice with "Ice Ice Baby" in 1989 ...
To those of us old enough to remember 1986, the first white rapper to hit #1 on the Billboard was none other than Falco ... :)
