I installed the VHDD pkg and when I launched SOCOM II from disc, the PS3 asked if I wanted to install it to the hard drive. I went through with it and now I have game data labeled "SOCOM" that is 2049 mb. Is this the file you're wanted a copy of? I'm not sure where it resides on the PS3 but I...
I found the VHDD pkg NPIA00001 "PS2 System Data" online last night. I'll try installing it today and see what I can do with OPL on it on my CECHB console. I have SOCOM 2 which also had HDD loading capabilities. I'm super interested in trying it out.
Also, did some digging on the forum and found...
Really hoping the bgtoolset gets revived soon. I convinced my good friend to get a CECHB00 console and he's anxious to play his PS2 games again (JP consoles are region locked for psx/ps2 games)
I'm having a hard time following this thread because I don't know electronics on this kind of level but this would theoretically help CECHA/B users with keeping these consoles running long into the future? I have a CECHB model that has never YLOD'd but i'm concerned that it's just a ticking time...
I'm not going to argue in this thread (there's plenty already) but Skeptick, please stop talking about networking. The concepts of networking elude you and I mean that in the nicest way possible. This is coming from a network engineer and also an owner of a CECHB01 launch PS3.
Now to answer the...
Is it possible to send simple button commands via webMAN-MOD? I'm trying to build an IP-based control driver for my home automation and it would be great to be able to control the PS3 through it.
Yes, it will work. This is how roaming networks work (environments that can't be covered by one wireless access point). If they have the same SSID information, your device should pick the one with the best signal and go to it. I say it "should" but some devices are worse at roaming than others...
The only question I have is, why? Are these two WiFi networks a part of your internal network? If they are, have them use the same SSID information so your PS3 doesn't need to switch back and forth.
It's unfortunately not working for me. :(
EDIT: I found that there was a newer version of REBUG available for this console. Updating it now and see if that takes care of the issue!
I've used the latest SEN Enabler (6.2.0) to spoof one of my consoles so that I could go on PSN. When I try to go into Account Management, I get an 80710A06 error. Is there something that i'm doing wrong?
Most PSX games that I own have multiple tracks. I've ripped them all to BIN+CUE format and have no issues playing them. webMAN-MOD only accepts single BIN backups and i've had zero issues when properly ripped from CD.
Was hoping for an app on the PS3 that could do that but I have multiple other...
I followed your steps and it created an ISO of the PSX game :(
Wish there was a BIN+CUE backup option on multiMAN! I'm surprised that I haven't found a homebrew app on the PS3 that can do it
