I think you should adjust the contrast between the items and the background a bit. Try making the background darker so the objects at the front can be noticed better. One more thing, instead of multiple colors for the object's name, give them a dark brown. It will fit the style better IMO...

Is there any significant difference between the installation process of this version and the v2? I know v2 has a new user interface, but I am curious about the installation process itself. What's different between this and FMCB's installer?

Why? FMCB is open source at GitHub https://github.com/TnA-Plastic/FreeMcBoot @TnA made the release and by looking at https://github.com/TnA-Plastic/FreeMcBoot/commits/master it seems to be the latest 1.8 version which means everything else added to the code after that is not original from FMCB...

It happen to me too. But it is an issue with a few games and I haven't managed to figure out why. Here's a workaround for the games that fails: Use a long cable and the USB IRX files instead of the BT IRX files:
