    i can confirm that the fix at least got me past the "data is corrupt" error when trying to install Rebug. I am about 50% of the way through the install right now and will report back when it's done. I'm amazed and thankful with how fast you all work!

    Not a problem. Tried formatting my thumbdrives, no luck, still can't install HFW or Rebug 4.86.1 LITE via XMB or Recovery Mode

    for that one, I only see it when trying to do a firmware update in recovery mode, option 6.

    Yep, the drives show up. My next step was going to be to try and reformat the thumb drives in case they got messed up somewhere in the process

    The problem is that it won’t let me install HFW, it says there is no valid firmware on the drive. I’ve tried 3 thumb drives in both XMB and recovery mode

    I'm actually having the exact same problem. I've tried to install OFW/HFW/CFW so many times I honestly can't remember if i got from OFW to HWF or if I'm stuck on OFW still

    I did. i have all the PUP files organized on my PC with folders named for the original filename and the .PUP file renamed to "PS3UPDAT.PUP" in each folder

    I tried installing HFW 4.86.1 via XMB and it tells me there is no applicable update on my device. when i boot into Recovery Mode and try the same thing, it give me a message about needing update data of "version ffff.ffff or later", which seems odd, like it doesn't know what version I'm on

    I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Fat PS3 CECHG01. These are the steps I've taken so far: Downloaded OFW 4.86 PUP from Sony, placed on USB stick and installed via Recovery Mode Navigated to ** www.** ** www.ps3xploit.net > Domain no Longer owned by team** (NEW URL = http://ps3toolset.com) > Domain no Longer owned by team** (NEW URL = http://ps3toolset.com > Domain no Longer owned by team** (NEW URL = http://ps3toolset.com)/bgtoolset, downloaded and applied the Flash Memory Patch, got success...
