Sadly I don't have many plans to hook my PC directly to my PS2. Maybe I could temporarily for testing. I'm kinda interested on how to ping the console though. I am pretty sure that the travel router couldn't even address an IP last time I checked.
Edit: to answer your previous question. I did...
So I don't know if this will solve problems for people trying to SMB on the PS2 on the first time but I'll just say it anyways.
If you want to be *really* sure all your networking alright you could just run opl on PCSX2 and set it up to check if you can see your samba share.
I took like 5 hours...
Very quick responses thanks everyone since is 11:00 pm I have to sleep but tomorrow I will
1. Get a backup (no idea where to get this specific game with all that virus spam)
2.Get the ps3 linker app working (no ethernet cable but know there is an alternative)
3. See if my slow laptops both home...
Now I remember the game (gow3) had an update before playing but the game itself came out as a disk only. And even if that is not really problematic I still have to find a way to back it up on a super slim.
Does anyone know if god of war 3 can work as a game backup .pkg I have the disk but no way to back it up to test (ps3 super slim as most of you may have if using this tutorial)
