    PS3 PS3 error: 80010017 after CFW—>OFW

Going from OFW 4.91 —> CFW Evilnat 4.91 CEX, enabling QA Flags, and remarrying the bluray drive is enough to get the PS3 physical discs to read (in CFW). If I update to OFW 4.91 via recovery menu, then the PS3 physical discs no longer work. The fix I found - posting for others having this issue...

    PS3 PS3 error: 80010017 after CFW—>OFW

Hey guys, I ended up desoldering the bad transistor, grabbing one from a broken PS3, and soldering it in place. Used some flux of course. Just wanted to put this here in case someone else comes across this problem and wants direction. Peace.

PS3 Melted component on CECHA motherboard - advice needed

Hi guys, I’ll cut to the chase at the top here and then the longer backstory will be at the bottom. The Q6010 transistor on my COK-001 (CECHA) motherboard is melted - picture is attached. As a result, the bluray drive will not accept discs (which renders the PS3 unable to play any games). I...
