It doesn't work, but I found out that if you skip the cut-scene and run to the waterfall as soon as you have control of Rikimaru the game plays normally from there. If you stand still for 1-2 seconds the forest glitches out like crazy and the game crashes. Weird bug.
I was wondering if there is a way to make Rikimaru's story work in Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven, which crashes during the first cut-scene. Ayame's campaign works perfectly.
That's cool Kozarovv, thanks for doing this. I have plenty of other games to play in the meantime.
It will be great to see Klonoa 2 - an awesome, exclusive PS2 game working start to finish on the PS3. :)
@kozarovv Config C runs at mostly full speed (Klonoa's "Wahoo!" on the title screen proves too much for the Cell to handle) and crashes at the elevator.
Config D fixes the elevator and maybe runs a little better than config B.
@kozarovv You fixed it already? That's amazing. :o This problem has affected a lot of people - there's even a review on YouTube where they couldn't review the whole game because of that crash.
I'll be more than happy to test configs. I played in 50hz too, because of the more consistent...
It's called Ishras Ark. From the world map select the flashing red point and press start to skip the cutscene, then the stage will appear - it's the flashing red point next to a ship.
You have to grab an enemy and use it to blow up a gem to start an elevator, and this interaction crashes the...
Hmm... Here is my other memory card I got from the VMC folder. You just need the .VM2 file? Maybe that one was my PSone memory card, though it should have saves on there.

@kozarovv Hi, I was able to get a hold of Klonoa 2 (PAL) and got to the problematic bit where you have to use a bomb to hit a gem, which is supposed to start an elevator but instead the screen goes blank and I have to reboot the PS3.
Apparently it affects 80gb semi-BC PS3s too, according to...
I don't have the third game, sorry man. It's just a spin-off and has nothing to do with the story of Kouldelka, SH1 and 2, and it's not that good apparently.
I've completed Shadow Hearts 1 and am currently playing through Shadow Hearts 2 and can confirm the D-pad trick works (you can use the stick in the first game). I've been playing both on a PS3 Slim Rebug 4.82.
I found out about it in a GameFAQs thread.
