Curious what you mean by ruining your PS3. All the features are folded under 1 menu in the AM, making the experience fairly stock unless you mess with those settings.
I'm so excited to see the OC functionality rolled into the CFW. Fantastic job @Evilnat and @aldostools, as well as other contributors in the community. Your constant efforts mean so much to those of us who cherish this console.
Very interesting. If I were you, I'd grab a very basic computer monitor and test there. There's a slight chance the netemu and PS2 hardware interact differently with a fancier TV with local dimming? Also, I'm assuming you've already played around with the PS3s display settings? The full color...
I'll check tonight on my system. You should post comparison pics so it's easier to tell the difference you see. For me, my specific issue was fixed after my technician reflowed the EEGS.
Yeah. That's the correct rendering. I'm so damn bummed man. Contacted the shop that did my frankie. They're saying the warranty does not cover PS2 issues, which is frustrating, but even more frustrating is that they're saying the chances of them fixing it are slim.
I'm a bit at a loss. But...
Yeah, those look normal. Damn. Something is messed up with mine. At least now I can confirm. Would you mind grabbing some shots from that initial fog down the stairs?
Really appreciate the response! I feel part of me is just a bit disheartened at the thought that I put so much effort into this PS3 thinking I was doing it because it was the closest thing to a PS2 I could get. I hear what you're saying, about the full BC not having any extra bells and whistles...
Hi there, I posted something similar on Reddit but I think I need the opinions from a more specialized group.
Essentially, I'm worried my emotion engine chip on my lunch model CECHA is damaged? I was showing SH2 to my gf last night and noticed how bad it looks on my fully backwards compatible...
Apologies for spamming this thread, but I figured I should post my troubleshooting to document for posterity:
Again, I have a JP 2500 model PS3 I'm trying to get to play region 1 DVDs, but always get the "incorrect region"error. I have tried:
- the multiman and webman region changes on the...
I'm resuscitating this thread in case you ever found a solution. I have a Japanese 2500 model and cannot for the life of me get it to properly ready USA DVDs. As expected, anything blueray movie or game works just fine. But physical Region 1 DVDs simply will load, almost play, and then I get the...
Hi there, sorry to resurrect this old post. Were you ever able to solve this? I have tried many of the things you list, as well as what's suggested towards the end of a post (I can't embed links apparently):
DVD region code change
Discussion in 'PS3 CFW (Custom Firmware)' started by Timbo9876...
This did not work for me. I followed your instructions exactly. I have a Japanese PS3 that won't read Region 1 aka US DVDs no matter what I try. When I check my region info in Evilnat it shows the desired North American region. We're there other steps you took to get it to work?
Hi, have you...
