And the full-screen option actually turns it into a widescreen mode. Which, is cool and all but for some games it doesn't work well.
There has to be some address somewhere that dictates resolution scaling. I don't know if integer is possible however
I was going to ask this in the ps2/ps1_netemu mod thread, but I haven't been active in so long that I'm locked to Starting Line.
The bilinear filtering is pretty aggressive on PSX Classics, and I'd prefer if I could turn it off.
Actually the scaling in of itself for PSX Classics are pretty...
Should I SYSCON my PS3 when it comes in the mail? There isn't anything wrong with it but I'm assuming it could at least help for the cause. It's a CECHK, and I'm pretty sure it's in working condition. I have the intention of opening it already.
Precisely... I have a hair dryer and I'll be buying a painters knife because, apparently, it's pretty hard to scrape something with those. All it takes is patience and a gentle touch.
I agree. A CECH-21XX should do the trick. It's got a 40nm chip, and it's guaranteed CFW compatible. I only bought the CECHK because the listing was very good. Should I delid it? Or just replace the thermal paste on the heatsink and what not? honestly, anything to prevent a YLOD, since now...
In the end, I bought a CECHK, since it came with two OEM dualshocks. It's in working condition, and It'll be in my area soon enough.
It's got 60nm chips, but I'm still concerned about YLOD. Since it hasn't happened yet, I'm assuming it needs to be repasted as soon as possible
Ah. OK. I actually decided to go with a CECHK since those have 65nm RSX and CELLs. I'm not sure if this is any better, but it could be. I would've preferred a CECH-2101 but this listing on eBay is an absolute steal. I'll be refurbishing it.
Yo, I was wondering if it would be a smart idea to buy a YLOD CECHA01 on eBay and fix it.
If it hasn't been opened there's a likely chance that it's just the capacitors, and I get a cool BC PS3.
Though, I could get a Japanese CECHH PS3 or a CECH-2101 (the one with the new capacitors) and call...
