Thanks for the reply, unfortunately this didn't work, the only fix I've found so far is re installing 4.90 and this is only temporary, after the 3rd or 4th time signing in the problem comes back. Edit: I've deleted npsignin_plugin.rco and its working now.

I'm having the same issue, it worked a few times when I first updated to 4.90 but now I cant get past that screen.

Thanks Evilnat, just installed on CECH-2502A and so far everything seems to be fine. This model wasn't in the 'tested' section above so thought ill mention it here if it helps.

Yep, I wanted to sync some trophies I earned offline and was prompted with "A system software update is required. Do you want to update now?" It had me stressing, as when I checked the PlayStation website and it still had 4.88 as the latest software. I had to check my non CFW PS3 to confirm...

Just reinstalled CFW, currently running Overflow 4.83 I believe, a friend recommended it to me before covid and my PS3 has been unused since. This fixed the issue with the blank install packages folder, it also removed the empty wMM folder, pressed L1 + X on wMM to install full version but...

Thanks Coldheart, I can confirm that webftp_server.sprx file is in plugins and boot_plugins.txt looks like the photo you attached. May I add that after installing wMM my install packages folder went blank, before the folder used to say 'install packages'

Thanks for this aldostools, I installed the pkg from the link above, pressing start + select didnt do anything, it seems as though there was no changes from the first time I installed it. Thanks, I'm hoping I can get this fixed.
