    Cell CPU OC.

Could someone perhaps help me get 4.8 GHz running in a PS3? I'd be very interested to see if I can get it stable. A smaller architecture like 45nm always allows for higher clock speeds. Does anyone know which processor was used in the 4.8 GHz that were discussed? I'm also thinking about...

Exactly, I meant the CPU. Sorry I didn't mention that clearly here in the RSX OC thread.

I'd gladly sacrifice myself to test cell overclocking and brick my console. I could maby do voltage mods myself. But how do you even begin to figure it out?clocks and multiplikators. Spending all day trying out hex and decimal numbers until you find the needle in the haystack? It dosnt have...

I dont think there is "that" 4.92 OC cfw from Evilnat that was just a thing at the 4.90 now you may have to find one with the right clocks ore make one. One page back is a link to be found from Mitsu ,a nice collection.

Earlier I also mentioned that a little more contact pressure can work wonders If your Temps are in that range the "standart" Evilnat OC 600/750 schould not that Problem

i dont think 30 percent fan are OK even for a console with stock clocks ore,are we Talking about Watercooling?

Yes, that's a little tricky i know what you mean , that's why I let the console run hot to see instability as early as possible It's maby inevitable that someone will brick their console :applause:

You can only do 50 MHz steps. I think Haxxxen has recognized that you need all variants to explore the maximum clock speeds

the heat connection from the memory to the heatspreader is different there is a bigger gap .and might the heatpast not cover up the hole surface of the memory Chip.but its one of my next missions to look closer to that and deleed my RSX an try some expensive pads or fresh paste. i like also...

I clocked my console higher bit by bit with forced high temperatures under load to see when errors first occur. first the GPU then the memory. I still have a pre-programmed patch tool and can provide some firmwares if someone wants to test it for himself . I'm interested in your results and...

Yes ,I play 750/1000 for a long time on my 2504B and its stable aslong you have 60degree,and i test the clocks on another 2504B with the same result. And in best case you deleed the heatsink on the RSX and optimise the Thermalgrease for the Vram because you dont see wat Temps the Memory on the...

Yes , sometimes likePolygonal Artefacts sometimes a flashing incorrectly lit texture, sorry for that bad Englisch. I only overclocked my 45nm and can't say much about the 65nm but I think the 45nm RSX definitely has more potential than the 65nm. That's physics. I wouldn't like to overclock 65nm...

Are the 40nm RSX known to break down like the 90 and 65nm RSX?
