Can someone please explain to me how to mod The Elder Scrolls Oblivion?

Hello everybody, i come to you all with a big dilemma that's been bothering me so badly i needed to create an account here to desperately call for help. It is probably odd to want to do this in 2022 but without a computer that'll even run Oblivion i need to boot up my old CFW PS3 to enjoy some Oblivion, only problem is i read a snippet online about there actually being a way to mod the game, even on PS3. This immediately caught my interest so I scoured the internet far and wide for ANY bit of information and unsurprisingly found practically nothing aside from ancient youtube videos and one singular forum thread that actually did help a bit, which isn't too bad for searching such a niche topic i suppose.

Anyway, I followed this forum thread and it told me this:
1. Make sure your ps3 is on any type of CFW or it wont work!

2. Download any type of FTP homebrew app and pc app (i recommend FileZilla > PC | Rebug Tool Kit / Blackb0x > PS3)

3. Oblivion or some other bethesda game.

4. Go to Nexus mods and community and select the game you would like to mod.

5. Create a folder on your desktop called "INSTALLEDDLC" no quotion marks, then within that folder place the mods you downloaded off the website above (or any site you personally like).

6. Now, replace all the files + extensions (esp/bsa) title with the titles in caps. No spaces, no symbols.
Example: examplemod.esp becomes EXAMPLEMOD.ESP

7. Next, copy the folder "INSTALLEDDLC" with the files in there, with a file manager to the right user directory of the game. For example:
"/dev_hdd0/game/BLES00048/USRDIR"
After you've done that, it should be like this:
"/dev_hdd0/game/BLES00048/USRDIR/INSTALLEDDLC"

I did exactly what this said, and even downloaded mods the forum OP said himself works for the PS3 version. However after attempting these directions all my game manages to do is just boot to a black screen, and I have to unplug the PS3 to actually get it to turn off, which let me tell you gets intensely frustrating after an hour or two. Is my CFW just not compatible with this? Are these instructions outdated? I'm using the MultiMAN browser to install these mods, so it should be fine right? I am absolutely clueless as to why it just boots to a black screen after placing my INSTALLEDDLC folder. If there's anyone who can tell me if there's a specific version or update of Oblivion that i need to actually mod this let me know, I'm using the BLUS30007 version. Thank you.

These instructions are 100% accurate on how to load mods in TES: Oblivion on PS3. Here's a link to screenshots on one of them threads of how the folder/file structure should look:

By the sounds of it you have it right anyways.

If you check both threads @Coldheart2236 has linked you find some of the info I have on Modding Bethesda games on PS3, there are other threads as well I have gave info on as well. If you use the Forums search bar you should be able to find them.

The PS3 has major RAM limitations for loading mods > .ESP's should be mostly fine as this is just a plugin using mostly already in game assets an alterations. It's when you start loading BSA Archives and their ESM's that can cause the major issues.

I have not done any of this on PS3 in a very long time as cause of these RAM limitations and mainly mod these game on PC now > Currently modding Fallout 4 atm.

Does the game boot normally without any mods loaded in the created INSTALLEDDLC folder...? If yes then one of the mods your trying to use is not compatible with... IF no then something else is wrong that might not be Mod related.
