I want to share some info that is related to modding...
I have recently discovered that ~75% of my games are 'ripable'. I was able to delete stuff like language packs, sounds, movies, multiplayer and games would still run fine. In first FEAR game, i managed to delete online mode completely, and leave only english audio. After the deletation i gained around 1gb of free space in /hdd0... one more example is GRID 2, there i would let the game install, and update then in original iso i would delete installed files, and only leave the rest in iso that i rebuild on my pc and then ftp it back to console. There was huge file size difference, around 3.7gb and it plays as it should. There were also games that wouldn't start if any of the files are touched and those i just leave as they are.
I was blown away xD with DIABLO 3 i managed to cut down the iso size from ~12gb to ~3 and a half gb's lol and it works. Btw this game has great voice acting.
There is no fps gains with this kind of 'modding' of games, but sure there is a 'couple' of gb's saved for a few more hidden gems.
And in theory it should be easier to find hex strings when fewer files are loaded into memory.
So you need to go in game folder inside /hdd0 and check your games and experiment if you like. Or you can do the same on your pc if you use the iso backups. GlHf
