Hey everyone. I'm trying to repair a Playstation 3 Slim, model 3000, motherboard 1-884-749-11, and I'd like to share everything I've done so far to see if anyone can help.
This issue actually happened before:
While transferring files over Wi-Fi, the console would randomly shut down. It happened about four times.
After that, it eventually stopped turning on properly and began showing the current symptoms.
Current situation:

While transferring files over Wi-Fi, the console would randomly shut down. It happened about four times.

Current situation:
- The motherboard is not shorted on the 12V line, and there's no short on the 5V line either.
- When I plug it in, the standby LED turns red as expected.
- When I press the power button, the green LED comes on, but the console shuts off right away.
- The capacitors above the RSX show a resistance of 4.2 ohms.
- I get this same reading both above the RSX and on the backside of the board, mirrored to that position.
- In the Cell processor area, the capacitors are showing 1 ohm of resistance, both on the front and back, in the central area.
- Does this 4.2 ohm reading on the RSX capacitors mean there's a short?
- Is the 1 ohm reading on the Cell capacitors considered normal?
- Has anyone seen a similar issue or can suggest what else to check?
