HELP! PS3xploit NOR dump issues

Ok. I've been following MrMario's guide on Youtube. I updated to 4.84 HFW twice. Went to browser, dumped original NOR. Flashed the 484 hex file. Dumped that NOR. Grabbed pyps3checker. Blasted thing will not read my Patched Nor dump. Cannot identify dump. PS3 is NOT frozen. Hash check was correct for patch file before removing USB from the PC and putting it in the PS3. I don't want to brick this thing. What can I do?

For those who want to know. DO NOT USE SD CARD ADAPTERS AS USB DRIVES. I found an actual USB stick, formatted it to fat32, re-dumped the nor. Checks came back A-OK with 0 errors! I feel so stupid now....

I wouldn't say all SDtoUSB sticks have this problem as I don't even own a USB flash drive...
I have always used an SDtoUSB adaptor with multiple SD cards.
Maybe you your USB adaptor doesn't play nice with ps3... I'm not too sure
