I recently got banned again 
third time in two years. First two times was modding online a bit ok a lot. But this last time not so much. First time maybe a year second time six months third time about two months. So got to thinking about the PS3 ids, system flagged, If/what/when/why/how ect.
-PSN (Account banned. Create new account.)
-CID: IDPS/PSID (Console banned. New CID. Use webMAN to change/stick)
-MAC ADDRESS ??????
Wouldn't the mac address be a possible target to flag the system so why not change this aswell?
Didn't find much helpful info on mac address.
I came across a old video on you tube how to permanently change mac address dex.
Process: -downgrade to 3.55 -3.55 oos -Chaos Air Bringer pkg
*This appears to have worked my mac address is now showing the new one.*
However when downgrading to 3.55 it wouldn't install update via XMB but installed it via SAFETY/RECOVERY MODE once it completed install I got a message telling me I need to rebuild hardisk database and asking me to format because a error occurred. Had no option but to proceed. Wiping all installed data.
. Continued and completed process then upgraded back to Rebug 4.82.1 D-REX. My OCD or some other reason I went back into SAFETY/RECOVERY MODE to do Restore File System to my surprise i got a message telling me I need to rebuild hardisk database and asking me to format because a error occurred. Thought that was strange. Had no option but to proceed. Then repeated Restore File System a second time. This time it processed like usual.
You think he give up leave it at that but no. I was curious now, can this process be done in cex so converted from dex to cex and repeated process using Rebug firmware. Process worked same way on cex firmware aswell. Same thing downgrader will only update via SAFETY/RECOVERY MODE.
After successfully testing Chaos Air Bringer on cex i upgraded to 4.84.1 REX.
Before proceeding with Restore File System I thought try to install downgrader. This time it worked from xmb??
I was able to change from 4.84.1 to 3.55.4 to 4.84.1 back an forth from XMB without any reformatting but as soon as i do SAFETY/RECOVERY MODE to do Restore File System it has to reformatt after that downgrader wont install from XMB.
To add to it I currently have three systems:
#1 SLIM -CECH2502B -4.85XPLOIT -REBUG 4.84.1 DEX -CONSOLE BANNED
#2 SLIM -CECH2502A -4.82XPLOIT -REBUG 4.84.1 DEX -CONSOLE BANNED
#3 PHAT -CECHH02 -4.85XPLOIT -REBUG 4.84.1 DEX (READY FOR A FRIEND)
When converted to cex console #1 & #2 wont install downgrader update from XMB got as low as Rebug 4.21 couldnt find anything lower apart from 3.55 which nothing worked via XMB.
#1 was used to test above process. MinVer Checker: 3.40.
#3 Can install downgrader from XMB. So no reformatting required. Didn't proceed any further as this console isn't banned.
So after my long explanation (sorry) my questions are:
1. Is there a way to check if mac change is permanent? via xregistry.sys file or something like that if so whats the process?

2.Is there another way/firmware to downgrade to 3.55 via XMB? Why does it work on PHAT an not SLIM
