PS2 How to Rename PS1 games easily to Play on OPL via POPSTARTER using SMB/USB

Hello, everyone. I would like to tell you that now you can easily rename your PS1 games VCD into ELFS and their equivalent ART through OPL Manager by running just two .bat files. For each method the files are in their respective folders.

For example if you want to run games through SMB, copy the files from the SMB folder to the POPS folder, then first run 'mass_converting_smb.bat'. After that run 'smb_naming.bat'. Then cut all the folders it created and paste them over in APPS folder. Now run OPL Manager and Batch download the ART files. Same procedure to be followed for USB.

Make sure to put POPSTARTER.ELF and POPS_IOX.PAK in the POPS folder or it will not work, also it will check if it has previously created files in the APPS folder if, if they exist it will skip over them. I've updated my PS1 VCD to ELF converter, making the process much easier and more efficient. Now, you only need to run a single converter—everything else is automated.

What's New in This Release?

How It Works

For USB Users

1. Copy the following files to the POPS folder:
   • PS1_USB_Converter.exe
   • libgcc_s_seh-1.dll
   • libstdc++-6.dll
   • libwinpthread-1.dll
   • POPSTARTER.ELF
   • POPS_IOX.PAK
     
2. Run PS1_USB_Converter.exe and let it process the VCDs automatically.
3. For multi-disc support and VMC creation, run VMC & Multi-Disc Maker after running the converter to ensure proper setup.
4. Open OPL Manager and batch download ART files.

For SMB Users

• Follow the same steps as USB, but run PS1_SMB_Converter.exe instead.
• For multi-disc support, also run VMC & Multi-Disc Maker after conversion.
