PS3 Information about BD drive

I have a new to me CECHL01 with CFW 4.92 that I installed. When looking at the BD Drive info it is showing the following:

SONY PS-SYSTEM 304R5230
Target ID: 0x84 (Retail - USA)
Mobo: 0x08 (VER-001, Rev 1)
BD-Laser: 0x04 (KES-400, SACD)

If it has not been opened, has anyone found a H-Q model from factory with a KES-400 Laser? After reviewing the psdevwiki it should have a 410 Laser. Maybe it has been opened and it's not obvious or CFW is not currently showing the correct info.

Where is the BD laser info stored? DB? or does the system connect and confirm directly from the Laser? I'm asking about the BD info as I also have a CECHA01 that I replaced the Laser with what is advertised as a replacement for KES-400 with a single lens but shows as a 410 with no SACD. I'm considering putting the original laser back in to see what the CFW will display.

Thanks.

I have another BD issue. CECHA01 I replaced the failing KES-400A laser with a replacement from ebay. Worked great on CD, DVD, PS3 Games, and Blu-Ray movie. Then I installed Evilnat 4.92.2 and had Irisman, Apollo, Multi-Man, and Web-man installed. For a few days I was able to load my game backup files in folder format from the SSD (SanDisk Ultra 3D 1TB) installed. Then my backups would not play through any of the packages. After working through the various settings to change (BD Mirror, etc) and after using the BD to create an ISO of one of my games just to test if the issue was with Folder backups vs ISO, the BD would not read any discs. I thought the new laser may have just died. I was stuck in a system update loop for a while (fun times!). I tried a BD-410 from a CECHK01 and the same problem remained. I replaced the laser deck in the 410 and still the same issue. I replaced the laser deck in the BD-400, tried another BD-400 from a CECHA01 with not change.

The drives all accept discs. I can hear the laser move and the disc spin. It will just keep spinning but nothing will show on the XMB. I can maybe get MMoD to recognize a disc is loaded, but it can't read to play or make an ISO. It is unable to show the information, or for one drive it was able to at some point, but not able to play. The last time I tried a BD-400 from a CECHE01 and the MMoD was showing it as a PSP or similar disc but couldn't play or do anything else.

So, what should I try next? I have reinstalled OFW 4.92, and am now have CFW 4.93, with the same issue. I originally had PEX but latest install is CEX. Is there something on the Motherboard that I need to inspect? I have used different 60pin cables from the BD to the MB and nothing has changed. The CFW shows the drives as BD-410 even if I remarry a BD-400 drive - is there a setting(s) in my CFW that can be changed for the BD firmware? Sometimes if I load a game disc the CFW will freeze and I have to manually switch it off. Sometimes it spins up and nothing happens with the CFW. Thanks.
