My PS3 Refuse to Install HFW 4.86

Hello dear friends on this distinguished forum!

I'm here trying to find wisdom but mostly desperate help.

On January 2020 I tried HFW 4.85 and everything was going amazing.
I week ago, I decided to move on to HFW 4.86 and it worked as expected.

• So I moved from HFW 4.85 to HFW 4.86.

Here comes the problem: Yesterday, I was playing a game of my own; when I stop playing and exit to the XMB menu, it ocurred to me to enable Hen Toolbox -I don't know why I was that dumb, I've never used it- since I was playing that game I told you guys I thought HEN was enable but it was not.

What happened? Console automatically restarted in safe mode saying to "press PS button to install 4.86 or newer". Since I had an USB pendrive -with HFW 4.86 on it- connected on the second port of the console, I just followed the process, at the end, console reboots but on system information it says I have 4.86 firmware not HFW 4.86.1.

Then I reinstalled HFW manually from console and one more time in safe mode (as advised) hoping to get back HFW 4.86.1 but didn't get to get it back. Today, I did re installation without any fortune, system information keeps saying System Information: 4.86

Please, help me out. What should I do?
My PS3 model is CECH-3001A

That's perfectly normal; System Information will only ever display e.g. 4.86, 4.84 etc. Even on CFW with e.g. Rebug REX 4.84.2 - System Information will only ever read 4.84.

In short, you are on 4.86.1 HFW but System Information does not, and never does reflect anything beyond X.XX - hope this makes sense

My concern was due to some videos where shows 4.86.1 on System Information.

I'm going to try install HEN again and see what happens.

It will show 4.86.1 on System Update when about to install, but as far as I've seen it does not show anything other than 4.86 on System Information once it's been installed.

Provided you can successfully install and initialise HEN, HFW has been installed as HEN will not work on OFW (though there is actually little difference between OFW and HFW).

As you said, HFW was there.
I just installed Hen and whatever I run worked.
