Hello so i have a PS3 SUPER SLIM 4211b it has e3 ode i wanted to install han in it so i updated it from usb and it failed
Now it goes in a installing loop i cant erase the hdd because there is no hdd.It has internal 12gb memory i dont mind opening the ps3 doing all types of things like soldering etc....
So explain me to me how to remove the e3 ode and fix this installing problem.

*******
One more last thing i tried opening the ps3 to check for an internal hdd but none except the e3 ode with a memory card in it.When i reclosed it,it wont boot anymore it makes a red light but when i press it it becomes green for some seconds and shutdown.Perhaps i simply reconnected something bad i will try to reassemble and reconnect it but im asking here in case it is another problem

I personally haven't disassembled a Super Slime PS3, but have Fats and Slims.
The innards of a SS model is probably different, yet certain components are probably similar.

If the Playstation3 is blinking a certain amount of lights of a certain color, that's the systems way of communicating an error code that you can then search online to find out what sort of error is occuring in the console.

I've had a few similar experiences with my consoles after disassembling them, and it may in fact be something as simple as forgetting to reconnect one of the cords back to its correct slot.

I suggest opening it back up first, find some pictures of how the Super Slim should look on the inside, and check all connections/slots that you can find, disconnect, then reconnecting them to make sure they have a secure fit.
Also, make sure that wherever you decide to open up your console, that static electricity can't build up on you.

The safest way to disassemble and reassemble your console is to start on youtube.
Find a tutorial video that you can follow along to, that has good credibility and comments.
Always try to memorize or write down in order what you are unscrewing or taking apart, and when finished, go back through the list and assemble it in the reverse order.

I know this isn't a definite answer, but I hope it helps.
First place I would start is with searching for what the color/amount of blinks the light is communicating. This will probably give you a better idea of where to go from there.

uh oh. if you were local, id be able to fix it. haha

But the PS3 models with 12gb eMMC flash ends with the character A (not B, and not C)
You have said yours is a B
Hello so i have a PS3 SUPER SLIM 4211b
So there is something wrong here, chech again, and if you are not sure open the PS3 and look if you have that chip from the link BwE posted

Ok rip i killed my ps3 hard.So here is all what i did help appreciated.

1 Used PS3 with E3 ODE PRO
2.Tried to update to 4.82 to install han went into a boot install failed loop
3.Opened the playstation 3 in a hope to find a hard drive failed.
4.After reassembling it gave a red light and turned off 1 sec after i pressed on.
5.Redissasembled it and also decided to remove the E3 ODE PRO.
6.Removed the solder board from motherboard, some cables attached to usb port 0 and the top one with all of its cables.
7.Reconnected wlan, bluetooth, power near fan, button to power on and power supply slot.
8.PS3 doesnt even receives power no red light totally dead.

Note:The PS3 received power even without the Blueray drive i tried with and without still same thing?

So it is hopeless or can i do something?
I wont bring to repair so i am ready to try all sorts of things to try to save it.

I think getting power is more important right now than erasing the hdd. Also i checked for the piece too much similar pieces which were made by samsung i can take a photo of the whole motherboard if needed

It has been your biggest problem since beginning the other day when you said it was lighting the green led then shutting down, now is even worst because it doest makes any led activity
Sometimes not doing anything is a good signal btw... uses to be an indication that is suffering a general problem that affects the whole device (a.k.a. PSU or some missing voltage), but lets restarts again :P
Sometimes is needed to tell the accurate exact info when you are asking for help, it can be anything, starting with the PS3 model, everything you did, and even if you used some firmware function you need to tell how is named and the messages you saw on screen

The first thing that made me doubt is the PS3 with 12gb eMMC flash are the ones who ends in ---> A
CECH-40xxA or CECH-42xxA... etc...

The "xx" means any number... this is the region and doesnt have any importance, doesnt matters
The "A" is the internal storage capacity of size "small" (and "B" is medium, and "C" is big)... in superslim A means 12gb

So most probably you have a CECH-42xxA (is printed in the sticker outside of the case btw)

Anyway... maybe you bought the PS3 used, and is made of parts from other models, the case (with the sticker) could be CECH42xxB... but your motherboard CECHxxA... and somedoby merged them

---------------------
Im not very used to ODE, i never cared much so i never was interested in the installations or what hapens when you try to update to a non supported firmware
But to install the ODE are needed (as far i remember) to remove 2 resistors from the motherboard, where you need to connect 2 wires... this 2 wires are the ones that are doing "the magic"
Well... the point is... if you want to remove the ODE you need to solder back that resistors
And probably you dont have the resitors... because whoever installed the ODE for you throw them out of the window

So one of the first things you need to do is to search about this resitors... you need to find the original value from factory, buy a replacement (or recycle them from some crappy circuit board you have in yoiur junkyard), and solder them back in his place

I have no idea what does the PS3 if you try to boot it without them... but my bet is it should enter in standby (red led turned on)... and you dont have this... so lets step back even more

-----------------------
You need to check again how is connected the PSU, specially the wire with small white connectors
Without it there is no led activity
And if you filp it (hard to do because it has a mark to avoid this) you could fry some component

Im not mentioning the other 2 "prongs" of the PSU because are huge, and i guess are in his place, lol... is near imposible to connect them wrong (or dont connect them)

Other than this... i cant imagine why doesnt enters in standby (with red led)

Pictures i took i checked the model it is a cech-4211a my bad.I watched a video on youtube on how to install a matrix ode nothing was desoldered just soldered.i did flip the psu in reverse position some times but there was no warning sign check if the photos help

Nothing new, the eMMC flash can be seen in the last photo

I dont know if matrix, but im sure with some ODEs was needed to remove a couple of components

The white connector has a mark in both sides to avoid connecting it in reverse position because if you connect it reversed it causes damage to other components !

The PSU has only the 2 metal bars as connection i dont see which white mark. The psu was always putted in the good position before booting up.Now is there a way to save it and get power back?

Also i have a multimeter how can i check if the powersupply is sending the good voltage and current. And if it isnt could you tell me what are the needed resistors for the motherboard and if it still isnt that. Can i buy any ps3 motherboard on ebay and replace it?

The PSU has 2 metal bars... and also a small 4 wires cable
I was talking about the 4 wires cable... that is completly white (the cable itself and the connectors are white too). The connectors of the white cable has a mark that indicates how it needs to be connected

Edit:
i checked the model is a cech-4211a my bad
I have renamed the thread title to fix that, now it tells 42xxA

All this drama over a machine that costs $40. Just get another one.

I barely fix PS3's any more because of this.

in my country you would get one for 80$ if u offer free shipping and for 40$ i will gladly buy it and i dont think the connector the problen is there a way i can check if the psu works with a multimeter
