I have a PS3 Super Slim, and tried my hand at using HFW and HEN. But now I have a problem. I use Component Cables to provide AV output, given my HDMI port in my console isn't working, yet for the past few weeks, it has had no sound. I can get vision, but even with multiple connectors, like the AV and optical connections, it still is silent, with only a soft hissing noise coming out of the speakers.
So I am wondering, how can I fix this? Is it a hardware problem, or something to do with the HFW? Would installing the official firmware, then reinstalling the HFW fix it up somehow? Or is there something more to all this. If anyone can help me with this, please let me know.
