PS3 Question about backup utility and HEN on the ps3

So i recently got back to the PS3 and i have some doubts about migrating from the stock hard drive to an SSD, my doubt lies in how to transfer my data from the old hard drive to my new SSD, now i now it can be done using FTP but i know there's an official backup functionality on the console itself, from what i understood it will not migrate my Trophies but i honestly couldn't care less and since that seems to be a very simple and no hassle way of doing the transfer i decided to go with that, the problem is that when i tried to create the backup with HEN enabled it keep giving me an error, after several attempts with HEN enable i decided to do one without-it and it is creating the backup as i type this.
This made me question if this functionality isn't disable on purpose on HEN, is it OK for me to go ahead with restoring the backup like this? would it create any issues with my install after i restore-it in the new SSD, also i do intent to go online to play some game with my friends, would restoring this backup increase the chances of a ban, mind you that i played online for the longest time with this PS3 after modding it and i never had any issues with, (Granted i always activated HAN only when i went online).

I actually did take a look at it, and this is where I saw the FTP method. However, I didn't notice much information about the official backup functionality.
Since I was encountering errors while trying to create a backup, To make sure I don't break anything i decided to ask here since my account is new and i am only allow to post on the The Starting Line section of the forum.
Have you seen anyone using the official backup functionality with HEN?

It is fine, no problems you will encounter. And yes, you should doing that on clean state, not with HEN enabled.

As I wrote, trophies and licenses will not be restored. If you have more than user, all other users will got asterisk symbol before local user name. You will need to log-in to each account to renew (download) all licenses, or else none paid content will be working. System Backup in PS3 is ugly.
