My PlayStation Home Online Server now works on OFW, HFW & CFW!
A month ago, I made a post here about the launch of my server for the game "PlayStation Home" that on PS3, worked on HFW with HEN enabled and on custom firmware.

I'm happy to announce that it will continue to work on both HEN and CFW but now, it will also work on Official Firmware (OFW) provided that you have installed the PKG via HEN or CFW.

This also still works on PC via RPCS3, the PS3 emulator.

Useful information:
  • If you have any purchased items from before PS Home shutdown, they will be in your inventory when you play. Check your in-game storage for them.
  • If your PSN account is set in the US region, many of the in-game store items are still available for purchase at their original prices but this only works on PS3. Do not try this on RPCS3/PC as it will freeze.
  • The spaces are region free.

Changes
:
  • Cache data goes into a folder called CACHE_HHQ in order to preserve original CACHE folder.
  • Debug Console is now accessible through the safe screen. Press select - ***DEV DEBUG*** - open console. Only a handful of safe commands such as saveavatar & loadavatar work.
  • POSTINSTALL.SQL from COREDATA.SHARC has been placed outside of it, inside NPIA00005 - USRDIR - OBJECTCATALOGUE so it can be easily edited. This file is used to give yourself items such as apartments clothing, furniture and locomotions.
  • The number of presets have been increased from 12 to 40. They are also now outside of COREDATA.SHARC, inside NPIA0005 - USRDIR - AVATARS. This is so they can be swapped out for custom presets.
  • EXAMPLE.TXT has been left inside NPIA00005 - USRDIR - SCRIPTS. This is to be used in the debug command "exec example.txt" which currently equips an outfit.

A huge thankyou goes to Agentdark447, creator of Home Laboratory (HL) for creating the server software I use for running my server.
Also huge thanks to:
@DeViL303 , Rew & JumpSuitAscended for their contributions as well.

For anyone here who would like to see the more technical side of Home reverse engineering or even help out, or would like to use developer versions with debug menus etc, Joins us at Home Laboratory where AgentDark447 has been building out his OPEN SOURCE project PSMultiserver that made all this possible.

This software can actually setup an online server for many different PS3 games, but it is mainly focused on Home right now.

I would like to mention that users with Ultimate Toolbox installed, the PlayStation®Home application appears listed under "Built In Applications" menu of Ultimate Toolbox.

It took me a few minutes to figure out why the application wasn't listed anywhere.
That is true. There are a few mods that cause this issue. I messed up there by recycling that HM category too soon, I really didn't think we would be where we are with Home.

If anyone has issues with Home not showing up on the XMB after install, this pkg made by Splicewave will install a PARAM.SFO that fixes the issue by moving it to the game category.
