RetroArch CE (Unofficial - Community Edition)

PS3 RetroArch CE (Unofficial - Community Edition) Beta 4

I started that game on Retroarch CE for PS3:
Put kick40060.CD32 and kick40060.CD32.ext into /dev_hdd0/game/RETROARCH/USRDIR/system/
search, download iso/cue "Defender of The Crown 2 - CD32.zip" , unzip and put bin & cue inside a PS3 folder.
Enjoy it

I was able to get acces to a green screen where a floppy is inserted.

what i need to do now ?
I tried every combinations of buttons on the ps3 controller.

Make sure these 2 files:
kick40060.CD32 and
kick40060.CD32.ext
into /dev_hdd0/game/RETROARCH/USRDIR/system/

Note: filename is case-sensitive
I TRULY followed Crystal PM tutorial !

he even shared me his own files that he have on his core/system just to be sure !
I took my time to verify EVERYTHING. (based on your statement & files)
I re-dowloaded the 3 files link he gave me that i renamed (not ending with .rom!)

--kick40060.CD32
--kick40060.CD32.ext

did you see any typing difference between what i have done and what you ask me to do ?

Hi,

In the Scummvm core, is there any way to make the MT-32 stuff work properly? I tried some things (like copy the MT-32 files inside system/scummvm/extras folder), but It seems It cause huge audio lag/slowdown.
In my Android Scummvm app, I just place the MT-32 files inside games folders and It sounds fine, but I can't make It work in the PS3-retroarch core one.

Also, I can't change the Scummvm gui theme. There is only the old classic one. I copied some theme zip files (as libreto wiki says) inside system/scummvm/theme folder, but then in the Scummvm menu, when I try to choose a theme, still there is only the old classic one.

PD: I'm not sure which Retroarch Community Edition version I'm using. It is one from last august.

EDIT: Well, I've tested Scummvm in three cumputers, my 8 years old laptop with a weak CPU, my old desktop PC with a i5 3570k and my new desktop PC with a i7 10700k, and in my laptop the MT-32 emulation is also laggy (not as much as the PS3, but it's laggy). But with my Desktop PCs it's not laggy. So I guess it's just that the PS3 CPU emulation for MT-32 is not powerfull enough, like my laptop. What suprised me is that my 4-5 years old Android phone emulate it quite well whitout lag.

I have tried to play KOF97 in FBNEO, It didn't work. It is the correct ROMSET. I tested it with Retroarch on RPCS3 and it worked.
Does it work in PS3?

If isn't works, isn't correct
Get 1.00.1 dat file and check your romset.
Did you put neogeo.zip in the same/system folder?

I remade my romset and the bios is in the folder.
I followed these steps here:

But instead I didn't include the bios in the game roms because I wanted to free up some hdd space.
King of Fighters 94 works and other games as well.

If I try this KOF97 with Retroarch CE, with FBNEO in the ps3 emulator RPCS3 in my PC it works. So the ROM isn't the problem.
I shall test it later in my console, again.

I think it's something related to the RAM. The same happens with Street Fighter III Third Strike (it also loads and works in RPCS3 emu), when you load the from, it loads and then a black screen appears and you are back to the PS3 XMB (the retroarch gets closed).

i had this issue with sfiii3 and garou.
You can get decrypted versions and play normally.

I´ve tried this new fbneo build, and had ps3 freezes with cps2 and neogeo games (maybe because the use of borders?)

Night Warriors - darkstalkers' revenge still works event with borders, but i noticed that load a new configuration file from main menu->configuration files hangs the PS3 bacause Retroarch tires to recreate RSX environment without a previuos rsx memory release causing
