Hey Folks. Saw some YouTube Vids demonstrating the PS3 4k Pro Mod and downloaded the newest Version. But I don't understand why there is a Full and Lite Version? What's the Difference about them? To myself, I use a PS3 Slim with HEN 3.30 installed on HFW 4.91, so, the newest Stuff I can install from OFW for now. Would someone be so kind and explain this to me?

The Lite version includes only essential features and preset customizations.

You can see it in action here:

The Full version, on the other hand, includes almost everything ever released for the PS3, offering endless customization options and a wide range of advanced tools.

Check it out here:

@SNKFreak It also adds a ton of CFW-only features to HEN and updates the payloads on lower CFW versions. I'm currently porting Cobra 8.5 for firmwares 4.84–4.90.

So no matter which firmware are you on, it will bring all the most recent features to all.

I read somewhere it bricked someones console. Doesnt seem anyone has a clear answer to what exactly PS3 PRO 4K actually is or does. It looks like a theme but surely no theme is in the hundred mb catagory heh.

Question- does it make a backup incase something goes wrong? And can it be removed without breaking anything?

Better read @LuanTeles answer again:

PS3 4k PRO is not just "a theme".

People usually say it bricks the console, but that's not true. What typically happens is they turn off the console while the installation is in progress, which can cause a black screen or force the system into recovery mode.

A simple firmware reinstall fixes the issue. The installer creates a backup of the flash files before installation, which can be restored during the uninstallation process.

As for the differences between them, watch the videos I posted here.

The main difference between the Lite and Premium versions was originally based on user type ,Lite for basic users and Premium for advanced users, mainly due to the available features and package size.

Now that I support more firmware versions (4.84~4.92), and with new ones being released every year, the package sizes have increased to accommodate them. Lite was originally around 300 MB and Premium around 1,6 GB, but with multi-firmware support, the Lite version is now nearly 800 MB, and the Premium version has grown to about 3.5 GB. (due to multiple vsh.self, explorer_plugin and the random XMB feauture on Boot that is powered by webMAN Mod)
