PS3 HAN There is a way to move pkg without PKG linker?

Why people say that the debug is dangerous?
Not sure if you mean Debug Package Enabler, or Debug Settings.

Debug Package Enabler: Its not dangerous, its just that HAN enabler and signed pkgs will work all the time (if you do everything right), Debug PKG enabler will only work sometimes, so its best practice to just use signed pkgs with HAN enabler, but if you know what you are doing, you can get away with using unsigned Debug pkgs for PS3 disk games that have no NPDRM, this will save you having to resign them.

The reason people warn against using Debug is because noobs use it when they don't know what they are doing, and then complain their games wont work.

Debug Settings: Not dangerous, but does not have much use for most people and has downsides like no psn access.

i saw in the tutorials that need to install with debug...they talked about debug package enabler?

Yes. When you split disk games, you can install those with Debug Enabler, as those do not need licences.

Just make sure to NOT resign if using Debug Package enabler, always resign for HAN enabler.

You can tell me how to enable Debug Package enabler?

I'm new in Han business.
Well basically don't use it unless you specifically know you can. So most of the time don't use it and use HAN enabler instead with signed pkgs, but if you are working with "CFW2OFW" games you can use it (CFW2OFW = PS3 disk games converted to pkg, at least one game update required)

You will just need to keep reading threads and tutorials, you cant learn it all in a day.

Actual usage: Just click on it instead of HAN enabler, then install your unsigned packages. Don't use it for resigned HAN packages or retail packages, retail packages are untouched packages signed by Sony, like game updates and demos.

So, if i understood

1. Get PKG
2. Sign only rap
3. Split the game PKG
4. Boot PS3
5. Enable Debug Package installer
6. Install the splited PKG
7. Install Rap.

Right?

No, if the game has a rap then its not a disk game, if it has a rap it needs to be resigned and installed with HAN enabled.

All correct apart from that though, just remember its only for disk converts really, and if in doubt, just resign anyway. This is why people are warned against debug pkg enabler :)

I have PKG and RAP file from PSN version game.

So i need to enable HAN and install the signed rap file?
And for the PKG game i need to split without sign the PKG? (and of course install with Debug PKG)

No, you need to resign the whole lot, the rap, and all the pieces, and use HAN enabler to install, Basically just dont use Debug installer for anything is easiest thing. In future when you know more you will know when you can use it.

Its fine :) use HAN Enabler. Just remember , don't use Debug package installer, unless you specifically have a reason or know different, the main time you will use debug is when installing split disk games.

Okay, mistake :).

so lets finish.

1. Get PKG and Rap file
2. Split the PKG
3. Sign the PKG parts and Rap file.
4. Boot PS3
5. Enable HAN
6. Install all parts.
7. Install Rap

OK?
Yes.

The only reason to not resign (and use HAN Enabler) is to save the time it takes to do it, and in most cases it wont work unsigned.

P.S. I think habib said there are a few disk games that need resigning too, but its rare.

Hey! You seem knowledgeable on my issue (you're a dev so of course you are). Anyway I have some unsigned packages that I need to install with debug package enabler but their file size is greater than 4 gb, how might I install a game through debug with a file size of 13 gigs? I've always used pkg linker in the past but pkg linker does not function when debug is enabled. What are my alternatives? Thanks!

PKG linker should work with debug enabled afaik. If you mean you cant update the list as that pkg needs han enabled normally, then you could set PKG linker to cfw in the settings, then it wont sign the list pkg and it will install with debug pkgs enabled, or you can just enable HAN to install the list and then enable debug after.
