Okay I figured out how to load games with WebManMod, but the game black screen freezes on launch.

So yeah I installed the noBD firmware but I'm pretty sure I can't play games.. how do I do this?

Okay so multiman and stuff like that load now after installing the noBD CFW. But how do I get games like MW2 to launch?

The problem with the NoBD CFW is you have to boot games way differently then just using webman or etc, right?

Now the only issue is my games won't boot. They black screen and freeze. Assuming this has something to do with the BD ribbon cable?

Edit: So I got it to update, I guess it does work without the blue piece. However I probably will need to get some duct tape for a secure hold.

I recently have made a few posts regarding my ps3 I got for free and jailbreak with PEX CFW. I had to replace the blue ribbon cable because it got damaged and now because of it I'm getting an 8002F14E update loop trying to reinstall CFW. I got a new ribbon cable and put it in but found out it...

So new ribbon cable was put in and now every time I try to update the firmware back to 4.90 PEX I get error 8002F14E. And I can't get the PS3 back to before I tried updating as every time I restart after the error it just reattempts the update. The only thing that is truly broken is the latch...

I do indeed have WebManMod installed, so what I'll do is I have to order a new BD ribbon cable anyways. I already applied new thermal paste, so I'll wait for the ribbon cable to come in, replace it and then I'll go from there. See if it still shuts down mid-game.

I have noticed sometimes it boots with a blinking from yellow to green light temporary. Does that mean anything?

Yeah Irisman just closes to XMB and the game doesn't show up when I load it.

I'll probably just buy a new ribbon cable and replace it.

It also won't correctly extract the iso either. It says please wait and then stops without any progress. Ends up making an empty folder.

So I was able to install the NoBD firmware which fixed it. However now I'm having issues loading an iso. Is there a certain way to do it with noBD?

I fixed that issue but now I'm having another issue. My blu ray player cable broke and I had to install NoBD CFW. but now multiman is throwing me an error with the iso. Any ideas?
