PS3 Ps3 stuck with 8002F14E

I recently have made a few posts regarding my ps3 I got for free and jailbreak with PEX CFW.

I had to replace the blue ribbon cable because it got damaged and now because of it I'm getting an 8002F14E update loop trying to reinstall CFW.

I got a new ribbon cable and put it in but found out it was the wrong model. I repurchased a cable off ebay, got it today and installed it but I think I put the cable in wrong at first because the black line on the blue sliver piece was not lined up properly.

The connector/latch is damaged on the board to hold the cable in so I have to use the cardboard method. I'm still getting the error but the little blue piece with the black line on the cable came off. I was wondering if it still usable without that piece?

So I got it to update, I guess it does work without the blue piece. However I probably will need to get some duct tape for a secure hold.

Now the only issue is my games won't boot. They black screen and freeze. Assuming this has something to do with the BD ribbon cable?

Try flashing the noBD CFW variant. Don't flash any other firmware or you risk bricking your console.

The problem with the NoBD CFW is you have to boot games way differently then just using webman or etc, right?

Okay so multiman and stuff like that load now after installing the noBD CFW. But how do I get games like MW2 to launch?

So yeah I installed the noBD firmware but I'm pretty sure I can't play games.. how do I do this?

Okay I figured out how to load games with WebManMod, but the game black screen freezes on launch.
