I have resolved the issue. The random freezing is related to the web browser homepage. It was set to HEN installer webpage. Once I set the homepage to blank, the issue was resolved. I guess webMAN deserves an apology here :chuncky:.

Well, I didn't expect the disc driver is causing this issue but I will check it anyway. I have bought two broken PS3 with SEM-001 motherboards. One of them have a dead CELL processor and the other have a failing NEC/TOKIN capacitor. I managed to fix the later by replacing the capacitor.
