    Let's go back to the 500GB SSD and start the cord that was chewed up. Is the cord physically embedded into the SSD, as in it can't be detached from the drive? If it is detachable can you try purchasing another one? Can you provide a photo of both ends of the cable that your SSD interfaces with?

    The way I understand it is there's no way to invoke PS1DRV while in PS2 mode on pre-deckard consoles. This is because the onboard PS1 hardware is dual-purpose, used as PS2 hardware (the IOP, if I'm not mistaken). So this could be another emulation project like FFGriever's abandoned project.
