PSX 80 Minute Patcher (PSX80MP) - Fixes an early PS2 hardware bug in regards to 80 Minute CD-Rs

Patch PS1 and PS2 CD games to work on early PS2 models when burned to 80 minute/700MB CD-Rs. The earliest PS2 console models (SCPH-10000-SCPH-39004) have a hardware bug that causes some games to either not boot at all, or crash after while in-game when burned to an 80 minute/700MB CD-R. I have one of the earliest PS1 consoles ever made (the serial numbers for retail consoles start with 53XXXXXXX and I have one in that range, most likely manufactured before the 12/4/1994 launch). I use the best 80 Minute CD-Rs still made (CMC Pro) and the best burner (Plextor PX-708A IDE using an IDE to USB adapter) and burn at 4x. Guess what? I can't play Resident Evil 2 Dual Shock Ver. (what else does one do in October?) without using my PSX80MP patcher. My PS1 SCPH-1000 has no issues playing even FMVs with my setup. So Early PS2 didn't have an 80 Minute CD-R bug, they simply emulated the original PS1 SCPH-1000 model too well. No one had ever had reported this issue on PS1 consoles before, it may well be that later PS1s handled this much better then the oldest PS1s and early PS2s with real iOP hardware. Mystery solved! And I highly recommend using this patcher on a PS1 if you have the 'speeds up really fast then fails to read disc, loads really slow or fatally stops after' issue on 80 Minute CD-R media.

I plan on updating the docs to explain this incredible discovery, as well as make a program to see if it is 'likely' for a game to have such an issue when burned to 80 Minute CD-R media.
