    PS3 Powering Launch PS3 w/ external power brick (D220P)

To connect, I just ripped these things apart for the hollow pins ( I got mine in korea) once you solder your wires to the inside, the wires makes perfect contact, its not loose, not too tight. pretty much perfect, just like you said...

This housing is better fit than anything that I've browsed thru ebay, I had a guy 3D print one (the white), I dont reommended, the pastic from 3D printing, not sure if its his or all, its brittle, because its layered, it will literally peel like an orange layer by layer.

Oh one last thing, did you have to use some kind of tool to replace the wires from the 24 female MOBO pin? Is it for safety reasons because of the gauge of wire thats in there already, or is it for convience, where the ground and the + are the same color, or I guess length. So you would need...

    PS3 Powering Launch PS3 w/ external power brick (D220P)

I have a question, the 5 pin connector, that last one, where you labled "NC", I see a green wire thats inserted? and then back into the first 5V? I just put a pin in there because the first time, when I left it empty, it powered up, but when I press the power, it didnt go into YOLD. So I was...

ps. @DoublesAdvocate I found a de-lidding service on eBay for 450USD + shipping Hmmmmmm, he does give a 3 month of warranty, but unfortunately it doesn't rain money where I live. @jacobsson I re-read the start of your thread again, there was that "guy" who think what you did was madness lol...

https://twitter.com/Rare_videogames/status/1346887282473709568/photo/3 I took a picture of the gap between the cell and the lid. I think either wire or paint knife, i will need to file it down as think as possible, and, if a paint knife, use some kind of tape to make the bottom side glide.

    PS3 Powering Launch PS3 w/ external power brick (D220P)

Thanks for the posts. Especially the two different positions which to start. 1. A lot of people recommend a corner 2. Others recommend the opening (Now I definitely think this is the safest way) Wish I found this before. Yes, a lot of people did describe it as "cutting thru butter"...which...

    PS3 Powering Launch PS3 w/ external power brick (D220P)

Hey Jacobsson You were right, I think the scratch on the corner where I tried to come in from did it. Put it back and got the red light. Sadly I think the CPU is damaged, and let me know if im wrong, you can't reball a another CPU onto a different unit from the treads that I have read. Your PS3...

Thanks, I will keep you updated. I am definitely going to make this an ongoing project. If it is dead, I try to get another motherboard, if I find one for a good deal. Yes, that first "cut" in order to insert your blade. It was so hard to do, It might have to do with not using a heat gun. I was...
