PS3 4.81.1 REBUG REX / D-REX + COBRA v7.31 (w/ Rebug Toolbox v02.02.11)

No I don't have one & I have never taken a dump of it, period, since I got it brand new on ebay originally with the 3.55 fw for a pretty penny so there was no downgrading involved with my 2501 ps3 ever :)
You should always keep dumps made with multiman or Rebug Toolbox.
It's an insurance if something goes wrong!
Downgrading has nothing to do with it.
You know now....

I am not really understanding, how it works. What i have to do?

- Debug Menu Type: switched from CEX QA to DEX
- Pad Auto Detect switched from "Off" to "On" --> the message appeared "To reflect the settings, restart the system"
- Restarted PS3 using Soft-Reboot-Function but nothing special happend

???
Sorry I changed my mind about this.
You would need to install ProDG on PC to test what I had in mind but unless you are ready for that kinda test..???

Yes I know it has nothing to do with DG'ing I just said that cause like i said I've never made one period since there was no need to in the first place since I didn't have to downgrade it, & I know it's good to keep a copy of one, I never do anything serious that'd brick it etc etc so never cared for getting one or jus never thought of getting one done up, & this little somewhat of a issue I have now is no biggy at all but its nice to try resolve it since i like doing these kinda things :P lol but yes I kinda figure its to do with the CID, so I'm gonna lookup a banned CID online & flash it & then see what my Minver says afterwards & if not that I'll jus install psita & restore my original CID :)

You should restore your banned cid anyway.
No point using a fake.
Also a dump does not just save you from a brick, it is good to have for many reasons.
You never know what kind of problem you can have, even brews can do damage you know..
From now on, use multiman or Toolbox & if you value my opinion, keep a dump of your NOR... Better have one & not have to use it than...

@WTF-IGO
True. That can happen.
I have also had various issues with a couple of ssd drives some time back...
One thing you might want to do use the jumper to change the sata mode on the hdd to sata 150.
Sata speed over 150 is not supported by the ps3 & with some hdd running in another sata mode seems to be an issue.
Look at this page
http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Harddrive
Especially this part:
"Replacing the internal harddrive:
For compatibility, if you have a SATA-300 (sometimes called SATA-II or SATA2) or SATA-600 (sometimes called SATA-III or SATA3) harddrive, you should sometimes set the harddrive via jumper to enforce the slower SATA-150 speed, instead of default 3 Gb/s of SATA-300 / 6Gb/s of SATA-600."

@bguerville, @Joonie

OMG a stupid jumper... <-- This sh*t is working. What a fu*k... I am on yay-modus. No more USB-Cable needed. I will explain it in a few minutes.

Yes most definitely I will make a dump jus cuz u said so :P lol I'm pretty experienced with this stuff so it's why I never did so in making a dump b4 i guess, since I just mostly do the basic stuff on my system and i know exactly all about the things i do and about the brew I use on there and kno that no ones ever had serious problems to ever need a dump for all the things that I do and use on it, that's the only reason why I got a jailbroken system is for the great simple things ;) lol but ya still iv always wanted to make a dump b4 but always forgot to or whatever since like I said it wasn't really serious to me lol but yes I mosdef know it could help in a lot of cases...so I'll make one once I put my original CID back jus so it'll be all original, ND the only reason why I didn't change my invalid CID I have now is because I was waiting till I get a good valid one so i could flash that, theres no harm keeping this invalid one on it as it can be changed, since like I said it's not a priority to me to get a new CID but soon I'll get one again :) and speaking of CID changing I found a random banned CID online & flashed it and bam, it says minimum downgrade version for it is 2.70 now, so yes I guess changing the CID changes what the minver says, but I doubt it really effects the HW thou in case of downgrading to the minver it supports thou hmm :P so thanks for your support, was a pleasure ta do buisness with a pro like u :)

And BTW sorry about my long messages sometimes I get carried away talking [emoji14] lol
No worries. [emoji6]
About permanent idps changes with idpset, @habib warned me months ago about the various issues that could come from that.
Btw you should also check that QA is still enabled actually.. It may say it is enabled in the Toolbox but no QA feature works in practice..

Personally I prefer spoofing on boot with psnpatch in cases like this.

In the past i have changed two times permanent the IDPS with "IDPS Changer v1.3" (eid_root_key required) on my PC.
Everything went well.
Still.
If you have issues installing a lower fw version or whatever, you should check your QA flag.
Changing idps in eid5 usually messes with it..

@Joonie, @bguerville, @Habib, @Aldostools

Without you I will be still lost in space :)

Everything is working as it should. I am so happy.
First the excellent job from Joonie, regarding "BAD REQUEST 80028E01" (this was a long night) and now this.
I never thought, this problem would be solved.
But with the big help of you @bguerville and you @Joonie, it was solved.
Thank you very much for this.

No more sync problem, when I am using:

- *Soft Reboot in (*Custom Firmware Tools)
- Restart System: Soft (LV2 Reboot Only) in REBUG_TOOLBOX_02.02.11
- all the web commands (wMM): /restart.ps3 & /reboot.ps3 [except one, I will explain it later]

------------------------SOLVED------------------------

I have found this:

SSHD.JPG

*At the beginnig there was no jumper in my SSHD installed --> DEFAULT (sync problems).
From using the Reboot-Function till the coldboot has appeared, it took about 17 seconds.

*Firstly I jumped my SSHD to SSC enabled (Spread Spectrum Clocking) --> (sync problems).
From using the Reboot-Function till the coldboot has appeared, it took about 22 seconds.
Both things even worse.

*Secondly I jumped my SSHD to RPS enabled (Reduced Power Spinup) --> (no more sync problems).
From using the Reboot-Function till the coldboot has appeared, it took about 12 seconds.
This was a long night for me, but sync works now and my PS3 boots 5 seconds faster. YAY.

I don't know yet, what is causing by enabling the RPS (Reduced Power Spinup).
Maybe it could be the setting of the speed limitation from 6Gbit/s to 3Gbit/s (1,5Gbit/s)
or maybe it disables the NAND-SLC (NAND-MLC, NAND-TLC) of this SSHD.

Only the one Reboot-Command "/reboot.ps3?quick - quick reboot (load LPAR id 1)"
is causing the sync problem, when I push the PS-Button to early.
But only then, when I before has used:
- e.g. /restart.ps3 - restart the PS3 console (content is not scanned on startup) or
- e.g. /reboot.ps3?soft - soft reboot or
- e.g. /reboot.ps3?vsh - reboot using VSH command (same as /restart.ps3)
I think, this is normal. Can somebody confirm this?

My Flash-Dump is also error free after the jumper setting (no affected cvtrm0/1, vtrm0/1) --> No BSoD.

BTW: I will open a new thread "MY_PS3-SLIM-E3-FLASHER-MOD" tomorrow and show you my modded Slim-Baby.

You are the best @Joonie, @bguerville. THX.

Ya I think I'll be alright but yes I'll check out my QA to see if its still the active, since it does always say it's on in toolbox still, and Ya I jus find it more convenient to have it flashed with a good CID since never have to change it again :P lol but yes thanks again you guys are awesome :)

Is there anyone, on #IWILLGIVEITASHOTTOTHIS modus, who can give me an answer pls?

Meh don't know about "serious issues" been using it around 2013 when I wrote this guide and only issue I ever had was the console type was mismatched. I dumped it from a NOR phat when I was using a NOR slim. I edited it to reflect the proper system type due to paranoia as if Sony checked to see if the IDPS matched the proper model number. That was back in the 4.21 days and trouble free since. The only issue was using CFW tools would tell me my minver was 2.40 when I know for fact mine is actually 3.55 but again I edited it so now the tools report back to 3.55 on minver check. I have even "hacked" my B-01 IDPS to reflect to being an A-01 as if you don't and do the wifi model install the system will not allow you to even choose wifi as an option as those models never came with it. So now I have a pseudo-A-01 model with the sleek B-01 all black casing which is just super sexy ditching all that ugly chrome trim.

Never said the issues were serious but the fact remains that there are various related consequences to idpset usage & noobs are unlikely to know about them or be able to fix them without help...

What is the best for this CFW?
Is there any more updated?

There is no updated version afaik.
I tried 4 or 5 psp launchers recently & only the psp remaster launcher 2.0 by jikkyu would work out of the box as it were...
