when i first got the ps3 it overheated cuz of some dust on the vents , i cleaned it up and it was better , when i installed HFW it stop making noise, mM shows temps at 63ºC both cpu and gpu, when i installed wM it started going faster. i have my ps on right now and its on for a couple hours now and i dont feel any heat from behind . i did the spoof method on my friends slim ps and it did the same. i have a super slim so i know that the fan isnt as big as other ps3 models. do you think that i should replace the thermal paste ASAP or it can wait? Thanks for the reply.

it isnt vacuum cleaner loud but its louder than it was before i installed wM. Right now mM shows cpu at 44ºC and rsx at 46ºC it that bad?

those temps are good.

webman runs the fan faster (louder) than normal and you will notice it. this is good because webman keeps the ps3 cooler than normal.

superslims run cooler than fats and slims always.

you should have webmans fan settings on "manual" at 35%. (at this setting the temps should stay below 60. if they get close to 70 on some games then change the 35 to 40.)

if you use "auto" instead of manual the ps3 may lockup when starting/exiting games.

if you like then fan like it was before webman then you can use "syscon" instead of manual. this will tell webman to stop controlling the fan.

No, as i said before i have my console on for a few hours ,its on about 6 hours now i toke those reading about 45 minutes ago. i played a bit and then went to youtube and from that to mM to do a FTP connection

Is your console a "vaccum cleaner" when you start it up and then the fan starts to slow down? Cuz that´s exactly how my PS3 started to behave since I installed wM a few days ago

i just checked wM settings
it is how u said it would be. manual 35% fan speed. dynamic fan is enable. i didnt mess with the settings. i didnt even know until now that it had settings

cpu at 44ºc fan:35% manual
rsx at 44ºc
cpu 111ºf
rsx 111ºf
fan speed : 35% (0x5A)
and it has been on for 6h and 20 minutes

EDIT: below the hours its how much time it has been on? like since i have the console?

EDIT Nrº2: i just dialed back 5% and it slow down but the temps raised a bit so i left it at 35%

35% is ok, that´s the normal speed on wM. The normal speed when the console controls the fan is 20% so, yeah, it´s louder and faster but it shouldn´t be that loud. Mine starts at 80% (that´s loud, the PS4 is a little fan compared to this turbo jet xD) and it slows down to 35%. Probably your fan is dirty and that´s why it is louder than it should be

probably, but since it is helping the console i dont mind, before i had wM i would go to mM and the temps were always around 63ºC. now its a 45ºC so its better. tomorrow i will talk to a older friend since he is a PC nerd maybe he could help me with the fan thing and checkthe thermal paste too. Thanks for the help guys

Don't want to talk about things I don't know; i do own a couple of ps2\s all FAT, the black ones make more noise, for the silver ones, some do, some don't, the aqua blue one is silent, did they use different coolers among the ps3 builds as on PS2?

All my ps2's are refurbished by myself, new cmos battery, cleaned laser, ventilator and insides, dust free (where needed laser replaced) all but the aqua blue one have been opened (,want to keep that unit as fresh as possible).

Afaik, all 3 major models (fat, slim, ultra slim) have their own unique cooler fan but it doesn´t change between builds. For ps2 I think it´s the same or, at least, all the ps2 that I had to open followed this rule. I think it has more to do with the construction of the console itself. Although they share the "build number" they are not exactly the same: plastic is slighly different, screws may not have the exact amount of the same metals, and you have to also have in mind the different situations and scenarios that every unit had been through. All those things can change how the console sounds like, just like a musical instrument
 
Bonjour tout le monde je me présente moi c'est Steven je suis de France, je possède un ps3 ultra slim jailbreak en cex et avec Hen 3.0.0 elle est actuellement en 4.85 mais elle veut la mise à jour 4.86 mais elle est introuvable sur la console . Actuellement je ne peut plus joue en ligne car le PSN et déconnecté est il faut le mise à jour pour pouvoir se connecter. Ma question est il pour que je ne fasse pas cette mise à jour et de pouvoir contourner de demande de mise à jour et pouvoir être connecté au PSN merci de votre réponse

Does Han works on 4.86? If no is there a chance that it will be updated? I only use han while playing online because it is safer than hen that I use offline for movian and other hombrews.
