make sure it is named correctly and in proper folders. make sure you are use the right (not left) usb slot.

do NOT use a usb hub.

if all else fails, sometimes this trick works: right after pressing x to search for the update file, unplug the controller from usb. leave it unplugged until it finds update or fails to find it. then plug controller back in. (this is rare but has been reported by a few users)
 
i installed a new 4.67 hybrid and hen. it worked all perfect. until I installed the psnpach and this has been happening to me ever since. sorry in my english. thanks.

I reinstalled everything. the same thing happens. to try to get back. 4.86.? so again at 4.87.? thanks

I don't have much experience. artemis i don't know what. i watched youtube only. should I install it? thank you for your help.
 
Hi guys, noob problem here. I installed Hfw 4.87, then updated HEN with last version. Well, now I have no package manager. I tried everything but it seems to be vanished. Anyone can help me please? :(

reinstall hfw and hen
 
Is there any way to install this firmware without a USB? I'm in the middle of nowhere right now and I don't have my laptop with me. I only have a phone and a tablet so could it be installed using FTP? or maybe directly through PS3 (I already have PS3HEN installed.)

do what it say here to get the debug settings to show (enable hen first).

then go under debug settings and enable "system update debug".

then ftp to the hard drive. create a folder named "updater". under updater folder create a folder named "01". put the pup file in the 01 folder.

now go to system update on the xmb. select "update via system storage". select the update.

when update is done, install hen.

Having Trouble updating HFW, even after my HEN auto updated to 4.87 today, I GE a message block when I try to system update to HFW 4.87 saying "Stay on this firmware until further notice" yata yata, is there any way around this so that I can finally access pan on HEN4.87?

update from safe/recovery mode

My Hen got updated to 3.0.2 can I just update the firmware to 4.87.1 HFW without doing anything else or should I start all over with OFW then HFW then installing HEN and stuff like that? I don't want to risk bricking my console. Thanks in advance for the reply.

No need to install OFW again, go straight to 4.87.1 HFW and then install HEN from **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new), if you need help read this

what hfw are you using?
how did you install hen? (which website or method)
did you install hen toolbox or other mods/toolboxes?
 
HFW_4.87.1_12_03_2020 .zip sorry my english however I have installed this update only that I have updated to 3.0.2 and it freezes as soon as it is enabled .. I wanted to redo the firmware update but it doesn't let me do it .. I don't know how to fix

reinstall hfw from safe/recovery mode. then install hen again.

what did you use to install HEN?
 
@djandrew88 use the official website at **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new)

the installer you used is not official and we can not support it (because we do not know what was changed).
