4.87 OFW Released - CFW / Homebrew / Exploits updates for 4.87

No, no problems with the latest version of WebMan.
Try like this:
1 - Uninstall WebMan
2 - Database reconstruction from Recovery Mode
3 - Filestystem Restore from Recovery Mode
4 - Install WebMan
I will try this later and see if it changes. I tried a few other things with no changes. It still runs unsigned code so I ruled out possible CFW issues so it must be something going on with Webman itself. Thanks for the help and reply. I'll update later.

Simply "running unsigned code" does not rule out possible CFW issues. CFW is made from OFW by applying hundreds of patches to selfs/sprx/rco/xml etc, I and many others are running the latest version of wMM on 4.87.2 Evilnat CFW without issues.

My only reasoning for not using Evilnat was because I didn't see anything in the notes for using ps2 games and that's what I mainly play. I did downgrade to 4.86 Rebug LE and am still experiencing the same issue with mounting games and the whole system freezing so I am thinking it's only a WebMan issue not CFW.

Honestly it's more than likely just something I did while updating to the new CFW or something I'm not sure I feel like I did everything right but you never know random isolated incidents pop up. More than likely my user error in this case. I'm just trying to find help so I can get my games up and running again.

You should do what @SHARKS suggested.

You can try with multiMAN or IRISMAN, probably you will get the same issues.

Just tried to uninstall Webman mod and I am frozen at the XMB. Going to restart and attempt again. I'm thinking if I can't uninstall my only option would to install OFW and then jailbreak again. Start fresh. Gonna have to reinstall all the games though which will be a pain.

Yeah I'm just going to start fresh it seems to be locked up somehow. Appreciate the replys and help guys. ✌️

Once on CFW you never need to go back to OFW ever.

Installing OFW and then re-jailbreaking will do nothing different than simply installing again CFW on its own.

The fact you can install CFW means the jailbreak was applied correctly.

Maybe you have hardware issue. idk.

Just updated webMAN MOD to 1.47.32, then from 4.86.1 REBUG LITE to 4.87 FERROX. So far so good, though I've only tested the basics and "Disable CFW syscalls and delete history files at system startup". multiMAN v04.85.01 seems to work, and deleted REBUG Toolbox from previous CFW. Note that nothing was thoroughly tested by any means, and I'm not even the primary player.

I've had basically the same freezing/lock ups with wMM first on HEN and then also on Ferrox CFW. I wasn't even able to uninstall wMM from XMB and/or via http. At that point, and with every other things done already (eg. repair file system, etc.), I just formatted my internal HDD, went back to OFW, then HFW and finally HEN. Will stay here as I actually prefer to use this as I'm going online a lot.

Reinstalled webMAN without issues and seems to work fine now. So, in the end, I'm not sure whether the problem was related to wMM or the CFW. Unfortunately it happened, even though I always did the "right things"...

Installing it once is enough but installing it twice is not a problem and the purpose is to populate both ROS0 and ROS1 areas of the flash with the same checksum hash for the installed firmware.

It is Ferrox Cobra, and in my experience it is a very reliable CFW. I have used at some point every Ferrox Cobra from 4.82 onwards, and am tempted to install 4.87 in the near future.

It's almost as if i wasn't using rebug since the 3.41 days :suspicion:

I know about ferrox, i've tried it in the past, but I just trust rebug the most and will only install their firmwares on my consoles.

I must have misinterpreted your post to mean 'what is Ferrox Cobra like?' since the post was ambiguous.

If you won't install anything but Rebug then all that can be said is that you are going to have to wait and see.
