PS3 4.88 Update is Live! - Official HFW & HEN Released

Im having this issue on trying to jailbreak my ps3 super slim on 4.88 i dont know why but when i plug in my usb with all the stuff to jailbreak it. It just pops up no applicable update data was found

On superslim you cannot use CFWs, you can only use the PS3HEN partial jailbreak.
To use PS3HEN you must install HFW 4.88 first. HFW 4.88 is basically OFW 4.88 repacked with the OFW 4.82 browser engine (just a file called silk_webkit.sprx) needed to use the PS3HEN exploits.

You need to use a USB stick with a fat32 partition of MBR type only, GPT partitioning system is not supported on PS3.
Get the HFW 4.88 PUP file, if it comes in a rar or zip archive, extracts the pup file.

Once you are sure about the USB stick partitioning system being MBR, copy the HFW 4.88 pup file to the fat32 partition so the file path looks like this:
/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP

Once HFW 4.88 is installed, you can begin to set PS3HEN up with your ps3 browser, there is a detailed guide you can refer to on this forum.

After I installed 1TB HDD I searched how to HFW this console.
I read all messages on this topic. I always get the error when I try to install ''the latest version of the system software is already installed''.
Before trying to install 4.88.1 HFW I updated to 4.88 OF.
I tried with recovery 3 times - it goes 26% and restart without reaching 100% after I tried to install HEN 6 times from internet browser but no success.
Can someone help me?

Try to install OFW from recovery and then, install the HWF from recovery again

Hi, I tried to install ps3HEN on my ps3 through system update. I pressed install and now my system is stuck in a update loop. I have tried to reboot the console many times and have also tried going into recovery mode, nothing has worked so far, pls help me. Error Code: 8002F1F9
 
When is the hfw 4.89 coming out along with hen. Sony have released system update ,4.89 for PS3 all us hen/hfw users are now offline please help

It should be perfectly safe to keep using 4.88 as you should not be able to connect to PSN anyway, you just won't be able to play online or activate the console, that's all.

HEN might not be updated for days, we haven't even extracted the new pup yet to analyse the extent of the changes.
When releases are ready to roll out, they will be posted here and everywhere else.

First of all, thank you for your dedication to the community, I would like other people to be patient, we should not demand anything from someone who is always working for the community spontaneously, Thank you very much When the new hfw comes out, it's out!
 
When they tried to close the store, I went all that revolt and with good reason, imagine you can no longer download your purchased games or synchronize trophies, there is no real retro with ps3 and not everyone wants to play in the cloud..... I believe they will leave the ps3 with only support for the store and trophies.... I don't believe that a year later they will now discontinue PSN entirely on these consoles

You wait until a new hen update roll out fixes the problem, devs are looking at the problem and trying to decide the best course of action to solve it.
When a roll out takes place, HEN should update automatically but in this particular case, you may or may not have to redeploy the updated HEN PKG file.
