PS3HEN (4.89 UPDATE) BT/USB Game Audio for HEN 3.1.1

UPDATED to 3.1.1 for all HFW versions

you must use pkg install for now. i did not update the online installer yet. i plan to make one for every hfw version. to remove the mod, reinstall hen (there is no "restore" pkg in this release).
 
Hey! So I've been trying to download pkg file for the HFW 4.89 however when I try to verify the checksum in MD5 not once does it match. I've downloaded the file multiple times over and over but to avail have I been able to get a download that has the correct checksum.

the hashes are for the PS3HEN.BIN file inside of the pkg file (not the pkg file itself). i will edit the post to make it clear. sorry about that.
 
Hello, I've been trying to make your program work since this morning (I'm running HEN 3.1.1 in 4.88) I took the right program and applied it. I tested all the pairs of wireless headphones in my house lol and none work (errors) except my nothing ear 1 or one out of two headphones returns the sound but with an infamous beep masking almost all the outgoing sound. In desperation, without expecting anything, I tested with my JBL go speaker and there, miraculously, everything works perfectly and the sound is perfect! Any ideas why my headphones aren't working? Thanks in advance and sorry for my English...:topsy turvy:

if they are bluetooth, i blame Sony. some bt devices just do not work. my own earbuds often have to be deleted and repaired to get them working again.

download THIS file. put it under /dev_blind/sys/external/ on the ps3 (you may have to delete the old version first.) if you have problems, reinstall your cfw pup file.

(there is another way that requires webman, but i do not remember where to put the file for that way.)
 
Hi i have a problem with this update. i see btga 3.1.1 and after install, game dont start.
After chose iso, and start game, they crash and console off.

have you tried different managers?

webman mod, irisman, multiman, managunz,...
 
I used this before on 4.87 with non-BT headphones. worked as expected.

I've got newer/better headphones with BT and 4.89 now thou :P

They don't seem to pair. Doesn't need a code on PC or Phone, but asks on PS3, I try nothing, 0000, 1111 and 1234. all say connected on the headphones but give 8003xxxx error on PS3 and says 'try to register again'

They have a 3.5mm jack too thou. and that works. I've got a USB device that gives me an audio jack.

some devices are not compatable or have issues. my earbuds must be deleted and paired again everytime if i reboot.
 
I've installed the 4.89 version on my PS3 Slim with HEN enabled, however with my PlayStation Platinum headset, the audio is just some loud stuttering

this hack does not work with actual sony headphones AFAIK. they should allow you to hear the game sounds without any hacks (at least the "pulse" ones do that i think).

Do official Sony headphones also not work in the XMB but in game? Because mine weren't working in the XMB. They're also the headphones released a year prior to the Pulse and I've heard that they don't work with the PS3

is it possible to make the microphone work somehow ingame? Using a rather modern hyper x headset and im not sure how to make it work

The PS4 "Gold" headphones work just fine on the PS3 without any hacks. You even get OSD for battery life, volume, etc.

The only time they don't work is when running PS2 games on the hw emulator. Verified on a CECHE01 console.
