It all depends what kind of network you have, how many adaptors on PC, are you able to host the xploit locally etc. basically you need to google how to set up a webserver and get that working and reachable from your PC, once you have done that then we can help.

Sorry, if you have read the entire pkg linker thread including the trouble shooting tab and you still don't understand then there is nothing more I can tell you, I have said it all there. What difference would there be writing it here too? :)

one strange thing, when i used the exploit my pc was reachable from my global ip ( got by googling my ip ) and my local ip ( 192.168.1.x )
but it wasn't reachable from the ip assigned by the tool ( 169.something )

my solution was closing the ports ( because I don't want people to access my pc from outside ) and switch to my local ip from the app's textbox, save my new packages list and it works now

guys, the IP in the tool is meant to be your PCs IP. if its different put your PCs IP in there, if its different that means you have got multiple adaptors, or are using virtual devices or vpns etc, the tool do not "assign" any IP. it is grabbed from your system.

Think about it, the ps3 needs to know your ps3 IP, if you tell it the wrong one it wont work :D

where did the tool grab that ip tho, ipconfig outputs the right IP

I am afraid of forgetting to type it xD
if i update the package list with the wrong ip,that's gonna be a pain in the ass
If by pain in the ass you mean, having to type it again and install the pkg list. then yes. SUPER PITA that would take you all of 1 minute or less, but you can wait until next month for a new version if you would like instead :)

this is node.js this is how to install it

and run a server. Integrating it with pkg linker is what needs to be figured out.

I can access the content on my web browser on my ps3 but the pkg linker side is whats not working for me

I am too dealing with this error and no fix i have tried has worked. this is so damn frustrating.

If you can access it from the webbrowser then you must have PKG Linker set up wrong as its the exact same thing.

Are you typing 192.168.0.5:8080 into the box in PKG Linker, then clicking save list pkg and xml, then installing that package_list.pkg manually via USB, and then rebooting?

thats not my tutorial, i found the video.
the IP for the server is 192.168.0.10:8080

IT WORKS!!!! IT FINALLY WORKS!!!! Thanks DeVlL303!

in the config file for apache, i set the listen line to 8080, but it wasn't working. thats been the issue all along.

and typing the ip in pkg linker would make it 192.168.109.1:80:8080 I dont know why, and that wasn't in any way my ip.

But anyway I now have it working, Thanks for your help.

.

Cool. Yeah don't worry about the extra "80" in there when you add a port, that is a bug in the print out on screen only, it does not effect the actual setting really.
