skyrim streams from both internal hdd installation and disc/backup so this way you offload some of the bandwith (that's bottleneck in this game on the ps3) from internal sata.also,this is how the game id designed to work (play it from the disc itself and note huge workload on the BD player).

same can be aplied to all of the later and more intensive ps3 games,it's clearly a method of devs to make the most out of the ps3.

really? mine even stops spinning the disc meaning its not using it game plays from HDD on mine. mine is regular skyrim not legendary

that was mine experience,same thing with smaller and slower fragmented internal disc,although i should mention i'm pretty suceptible on stutters and below 30fps drops as a primarily pc gamer.obviously that depends on the person as well.
