PS3HEN ACT.DAT activation with Apollo Save Tool on PS3 Super Slim and PSN Content Activation

Apollo Save Tool is one kind of powerful tool, it allow console activation without going to PSN which is really useful for most people who are wanted to stay offline all the times like myself. This tool also gives another level in PSN content setup which makes ReactPSN is fully obsolete.

PSN content works well with dummy act.dat file which Apollo Save Tool created and usual RAP file on exdata USB drive for PSN activation is working on CFW console but not on HEN even activated by Apollo Save Tool as the content from exdata inside USB cannot be transferred into the PS3 hard drive, so I had to resort with old-school HAN exploit-era PSN content resigning tools just to inject the RAP files into the PS3 hard drive via PKG file.

Only PS3 consoles activated by PSN are able to use exdata folder inside USB to activate PSN content. Any ideas on how to make exdata from USB drive activation work in Apollo Save Tool-activated consoles?

Thanks.

I just tried it myself the other day, it works the same as normal? Activate your console using Apollo Save Tool, reboot the console, activate HEN, then make sure any .rap license files are in the /exdata/ folder of your HDD or USB drive. Case sensitive as well, so the files have to end in .rap and not .RAP

On HEN the tool requires webMAN MOD installed to work properly, make sure you have it

Sorry sir, since he did not specify the build of HEN he is using therefore I suggested him to install webMAN MOD.
I'm already have webmanmod installed at the moment. Tried copying RAP file into exdata folder inside PS3 HDD but still asking for PSN license. Also, the PS3 console doesn't want me to paste the RAP file inside /home/0000001/exdata directory.

Tried renaming those extension in lowercase but then it reverted to uppercase.

Your problem is the upper case RAP extension.

the cobra payload only works with lowercase rap extensions.

rename the file correctly on your computer if you can't do it on the console.

also, Apollo has an option to activate rap files. (Select the "import rap" option )

Finally managed to get extension into lowercase by simply adding ".rap.bak" first at the filename extension and then followed by removing original uppercase name and also ".bak" extension and the exdata USB activation method is now working.

Thanks all for the tips!...

Is it possible to give a example?... I'm trying activate some dlc for farming simulator 15 BLES02108... And nothing seems to work. And want to give it a shot and try exactly what you did. Thx

Follow this procedure step-by-step:

1. Add .bak extension to existing rap file with upper case of RAP extension eg. BLUS12345.RAP.bak
2. Rename .RAP extension to .rap extension and it should be like this: BLUS12345.rap.bak
3. Remove .bak extension so you will get a proper rap file with lower case extension like this: BLUS12345.rap
