PS3 Bgtoolset stuck at initializing download operations

Hi im new to PS3 modding and cant find an answer for my problem.

Im trying to do the "Flash Memory Patch" "Load Patch via HTTP" but im stuck at initializing.
Java scripts are active and ive tried deleting cookies, cache,... but nothing worked.
At the moment my PS3 is OFW 4.80.
Should I update on latest Version or is it a bad idea?

Oh man thx that helps me a lot. Is latest version 4.92 safe? i saw in the changelogs that it can play new blu-rays, but i only wanna do it if i can still mod the console the same way. Don't wanna use a different method.

You can install 4.92 directly from your PS3, or you can select any official firmware version 4.82 or above from here and install it via USB. Perfectly safe to do so, so it's up to you which you choose. Installing 4.92 directly from the console via internet will save you a couple of steps, that's all :)
