PS3 Black screen Game

I have 9 games on my ps3 all of them work expect one mw2 the only thing i did to a copy that used to work is download a patch menu and then i delete the game and reinstalled it i reinstalled 2 times from two websties and both had a black screen tho when ever i go into the "GAMES" folder its all there but in the "game" folder it isnt but the games that DO work are what could be the cause of this any suggestions?

For context everygame that i have works execpt one which is mw2 i have re downloaded like 2 times already the things taht i did on a previous copy that did work was using patch menus for fun lol(not in multiplayer with other players) but now it wont work i checked the GAMES folder and its all there but when i go in the "game" folder i cant find it and that could be the cause of my black screen on startup any suggestions, this is really weird since i have redownloaded this game like 2 times already... thx

You may have better luck getting a solution to your problem by asking for help (if possible) on the website you downloaded your MW2 patch menu from. Did you download it from a forum?

thing is i dont have any patch menus in my mw2 rn since i cant even get it to boot up, yk what im really tired its 2 am i have been trying to fix this since 5pm, do you have discord by anychance? mine is poylisthnmanasoy#7949 add me and please help me out

Delete the game and the data, and install everything from the Blu-Ray disc or installer from PSN.

Then redownload the game installer from PSN and start anew.

welp i did fix it by just re building the data base, seems like some patch files were fucking my game up, thx for the suggestions btw and this is a leason learned i guess (only took me 9 hours)

Give yourself time to think about solutions to your problem. I can't be of much help because I don't know what patch menu caused your MW2 game to stop booting and I am not familiar with both MW2 and said patch menu.

If nothing works, format your PS3. You will lose everything but your console will still remain jailbroken.
