Black Screen issue with some games on multiman after Hen modification

I had the same problem with some games, they stayed on black screen, I did everything and for me the solution was that I had to resign the game's eboot to 3.55 so that they work in HEN, I used "ESSSE RESIGNER v4.5.4" to resign them to 3.55 (NOT ODE OPTION)

I imagined a trick that maybe works, i never tryed it though, but i think worths to be mentioned because it allows to "fix" games on the PS3 (without need for any PC or PC app)

What you need to do is to modify the value of PS3_SYSTEM_VER inside the PARAM.SFO to a version higher than your actual installed firmware... lets say.... to 9.99
Then try to boot the game in a backup manager and the backup manager is going to "autofix" the executable files (EBOOT.BIN, SELF, SPRX) with the keys of an older firmware (either 3.40 or 3.55 or something like that)

And also is going to modify the value of PS3_SYSTEM_VER inside the PARAM.SFO to the same old version

Is better to dont modify any game file though, this kind of fixes was required if the game request a version higher than the one you already have installed



*IrisMan have a hexadecimal editor inside the filemanager.... it allows to modify the PARAM.SFO file in the PS3

Almost forgot about it... managunz have an option to do what i mentioned above
You just need to click in triangle button over the game icon (to open the game settings), and select one of the settings named "fix eboot" (or "resign game" or something like that)

pleassse how do i use ESSE. i am really getting frustrated, i have had to restart the ps3 about 10 times in the last 30mins.

Install ESSSE RESIGNER on your PC now copy your game eboot.bin into the ESSSE RESIGNER folde. Now you can drag the eboot.bin into the ESSSE RESIGNER.exe or you can just open the ESSSE RESIGNER.exe then select the option resign reboot then follow by resign to 3.55 after that it will ask to compress eboot select No and you are good to go.

Aldostool may have fixed the freezing issue in his latest commit. I haven't tested it but you might wanna check it out.

yeah i saw it and havent checked it either. you have to get the newest sprx from the source code files because it isnt in pkg yet.

@Macharles Odinu i forgot to mention...if multiman is freezing on usb games,make sure you are using the one fixed for hen by joonie. the latest multiman will freeze on external usb games.

im having a similar issue with usb games on webman I get everything set up than I try to start ncaa 14 with webman it boots up fine but when I try to actually start a game mode it freezes any suggestions? It's a soft freeze I can exit the game
