PS2 Black Screen when booting up

So, after installing the new fmcb (1.996) when i restart the console, its just black screen, when i pull the memory card, it shows no data, it shows again when i put it back on, but i cant launch ulaunch if i didnt get the freemcboot screen when i turn on the console, any help?

If You are not anyhow experience with soldering etc. Gave up to avoid damages . Install FMCB 1.8b (You really loose nothing important in compare to 1.966), eventually try 1.953 if works. Or eventually goes PS2BBL with XEB+ way.

You must have a basic experience with soldering to do that properly. Watch a YT video on how to modchip your specific model and do it in reverse. Instead of solder a wire, remove it...
Or, if you're totally unexperienced, but still want to try it, then cut every wire to the modchip and tape the ends so they don't make contact with something and cause a short circuit.
